This isn't a debate about whether the developments in the personal lives of athletes should be news for the rest of us, it is. It may not be right, but its a fact. It comes with the territory..

And the fact of the matter is that Dukes' history isn't helping him in this instance. It might not be news for some other low key player, but when you're fresh off getting accused of threatening your wife and kids lives, you bet this is news.

Dukes is just a total piece of garbage.

A-Rod wasn't with a 17 year old FOSTER child staying at a relatives home where she should be "safe" from this type of stuff. Christ, even Bronson Arroyo and his little oredel a few years back with those pics on the internet, at least he preyed on college girls and went to their dorm rooms to bang them!! He didn't take advantage of 17 year old foster children.

This guy is preying on foster children living with his relative and using his relatives house like its like the MOONLIGHT BUNNY RANCH!

I completely agree.

A guy like A-rod didn't deserve to be on the front page of the NY Post, it was unfortunate. But the fact that he was is proof that this Dukes story should be news, especially considering his history.
 
It is big news because of who he is.

He is not a sound minded person it seems, if you read the entire thing HE THREW GATORADE ON HER! His 6th child with a 5th woman when he threatened to kill his wife?

Dukes grew up in the same area as Gary Sheffield, Carl Everett and Doc Gooden. Something must be in the water over there.

Dukes has a ton of talent but the kid is a complete moron. He's pissing away his talent because of all of his off the field crap he does. Someone from the Devil Rays should have took him and straighten him out (kind of like what the Red Sox did with Mo Vaughn when he was coming up).

I doubt the Devil Rays can give this kid away now. No one is going to want this PR nightmare on their hands, it's just not worth it.
