What was Steve Young’s record with the Buccaneers?
He's not providing context because it weakens his agenda.Again, throwing out statistics without any context...
UCLA is pretty devoid of talent...7 guys including Rosen went in the first two days (rounds 1, 2, and 3) of the NFL draft over 4 years (I mentioned this year's draft as Rosen played with them the season before). During that same time...Alabama had 12....1st rounders! Now I understand that Alabama is the greatest football machine in modern college football, but you get the point that some teams are more talented than others.
I don’t kno who pissed in your cornflakesSounds like the defense didn't care about his leadership.
He executed those early playoff exits like the best of em.

I believe that was UCLA’s record from 2015-17 When Rosen was under center there, with one bowl appearance in 2015. I think everyone need to temper their exuberance over our new quarterback.
Awesome, the vaunted #QBwinz stat, which has close to zero relevance.
Jay Cutler (11-34 in four seasons at Vanderbilt)
John Elway (20-23 at Stanford)
Matt Hasselbeck (9-14 at Boston College)
Patrick Mahomes (13-16 at Texas Tech)
I mean, 11-34 is a horrible record. Prime Jay Cutler in the pros was certainly much more capable than anything we've had in Miami since Marino fell off.i suppose in Cutler's case it might have had relevance
Young also played two seasons in the USFL before joining the Bucs. Still an odd comparison since Young didn't blossom until his 8th season of pro football. What was Steve Young’s record with the Buccaneers?

Love the Mahomes stat for various reasons.Awesome, the vaunted #QBwinz stat, which has close to zero relevance.

First it drives home the reality about college statistics not necessarily being a precursor to the NFL experiences.
Secondly, if Kliff ****ing Kingsbury couldn't carve out a winning record with Mahomes, I don't know who he could have had one with! And his being fired with his so-far unsuccessful gimmick "system" resulting in a de facto demotion to USC OC until Steve Keim stumbled in to me infers that if AZ had a better GM and owner, Kingsbury would be at USC.....
.......and Rosen would be starting his second season in AZ with high hopes that his traditional skill set would be better utilized by better coaching..
great post and research. Here are some other random immaterial stats I also wouldn't want to hang my hat on.
As pros: PManning 3-13 first year, Troy Aikman 0-11 first year, John Elway 4-6 first year, Steve Young 4-20 first 2 , years. Drew Brees 10-17 first 2 years
As Collgiates:
Gabbert 18-8, Tyrod Taylor 34-8, Dalton 42-8, Case Keenum 37-14, Blake Bortles 22-5
Yes, his point is that he didn't like our acquisition of the fins' most naturally talented QB since Marino,Is there a point to it?
