2006 Draft QB Rankings

my top 3 are Lienart, Jacobs, and Young. I wouldn't be suprised if Chris Leak enters the draft early since Meyer is going to make him even more of a bad *** then he already is.

Leak is terrible, the guy has one of the slowest releases I have ever seen. Not only that, but he takes WAAAAAAY to long to make decisions. He WILL NOT be a good pro.

Whitehurst has the physical tools but his decison making sometimes leave a lot to be desired. While not as bad, he reminds me a bit of Chris Rix in that I don't see great leadership skills from him.

I think Lienart will remind the top rated QB but I do think some of the luster will come off of him a bit this year without Norm Chow directing the offense. His physicals are good not great and I think he might loose a bit of the intangibles without Chow.

I only saw Jacobs twice and both times he looked very good, especially against Oklahoma. He is someone to definitely keep an eye on.

Strictly as a QB I am not that enamored with Vince Young. The drop back tuck the ball and run thing is great in college but at some point he will have to show some semblance of a passing game to be a NFL QB. Vick is light years ahead of him in terms of passing the ball. It doesn't seem like Mack Brown has taught him anything at Texas other than the tuck and run.

Leak throws an absolute beauty of a ball but he is going to get knocked down a few spots because of his lack of measurables.

Brodie Croyle has talent but he is one of the most brittle QBs I have seen in awhile. He is always hurt and the bad thing is that it is always something major or season ending.

Dont take this statement wrong Jacobs is a good QB but he isn't the smartest or most accurate QB from what Ive seen his stats show differently but thats what I have noticed and also his throwing motion is very funny looking anyone else agree? Now this is coming from a Boca High student and Jacobs went to the bitter hated rival Atlantic High School in Delray so yes, I am a little bias.

1. Matt Leinart.
2. Everyone else.

Way early to say, but I'll venture a guess that Leinart is the only first round QB. If the draft were held tomorrow, he'd probably be the only QB chosen in the first TWO rounds. The group after him is that bad right now.

I give Vince Young the best chance to jump in draft stock. Awesome athlete. Anyone who watched the Rose Bowl knows how impressive he can be.

LEAK-- He is going to be phenominal. He is yound with another year he will be outstanding he throws a beautiful long ball and good middle throws he will speed up his release as he is taught correctly. Next year he will be the 3rd QB taken ....by us!

You are either a UM, UT, LSU or FSU fan aren't ya?

Look at his stats the year before, he will be a very good NFL QB, you need to watch the games.

Charlie Whitehurst combined college stats

57% 38Td 36int and he has been sacked 63 times... I watch him play in highschool and he looked good. He has good size, but this guy has shown me little at Clemson to make me think he will be a very good NFL QB... I can compare him to Chris Rix although I think he is better than that, this guy has not lived up to his early billing... GreenMonster

Rank them how you will here is my top 10..

1. Lienart
2. Omar Jacobs
3. Reggie McNeal
4. Vince Young
5. Chris Leak
6. Bruce Gradkowski
7. Brad Smith
8. Charlie Whitehurst
9. Darrell Hackney
10. Josh Betts
11. Brodie Croyle
i'd really and truly take a chance on Croyle, he's a damn good QB but his knees are bad, not as bad as Jason White but he's had and ACL repair in each one, if not for that he should be in the top five

With a strong Oline class....i'd look for grabbing one of the better guys there (assuming middle round selection) unless Feeley sucks again this year.

I think I would flip flop the 2-3-4 guys, slide Gradkowski up cause i think hes more polished then Leak right now, and drop Whitehurst off that list entirely.

1. Leinhart
2. Young
3. Jacobs
4. McNeal
5. Gradkowski
6. Croyle (i felt he was on his way to being good before the injuries. If he can stay on the field I continue to slide him up)
7. Brad Smith
8. Darrell Hackney
9. Leak (Based purely on potential, he has a ways to go as a qb.)
10. Drew Olsen (UCLA, just keeps improving)

Good list, I didn't know that this many where high on Croyle, he was a great QB coming out of highschool and the injuries have really sidetracked him.. Reminds me a bit of Jason White but Croyle is a much better pro prospect regrardless of the injuries.
