2006 Draft QB Rankings

1. Matt Leinart.
2. Everyone else.

Way early to say, but I'll venture a guess that Leinart is the only first round QB. If the draft were held tomorrow, he'd probably be the only QB chosen in the first TWO rounds. The group after him is that bad right now.

This is why we need someone THIS year. And mark it down that Leak IS NOT coming out.

We need a PURE PASSER with excellent decision-making. NO SLASH vick wannabes here.

TRADE FOR A QB- Rivers or Ramsey... or whoever we can get.

:yeahthat:

Alot of you are overrating V. Young, I look for him to make a Matt Jones move to WR going into the NFL. Personally I think Leinart is alittle overrated too, but he will still probably be the first QB taken. I also look for Whitehurst to be a good NFL QB, he has the size and the tools to succeed.

I think it will come down to 3 this season between Leinart, Gradkowski, and Jacobs. leinart most definatley has the upper hand with all his credentials, but Gradkowski has the size and potential to do great things.

Gradowski is only like 6'1 or 6'2. His size isn't that great.

Saban has been preaching "value" when it comes to picks, Lienert will probaly be top 5 but that really represent good value. if jacobs falls into the 2nd/3rd round he might represent more "value" at that pick....

Gradkowski is legit at 6'2, not every qb needs to be 6'5.

Okay...I said that. That is nowhere near great size.

Jacobs if he has another good year won't fall to the 2nd round. He has all the skills of Alex Smith other than smarts and had better college stats last year. He is also much bigger and ready to be pounded behind a crappy line in the NFL...

Look at his stats the year before, he will be a very good NFL QB, you need to watch the games.
If you've seen clemson play live or ever attended 1 of their practices you'll hear a lot of clemson fans say hes not even the best qb on the team, let alone the best 1 or among the best in next years draft.

Thats tall enough; his skills are solid. With a good year hes a 2nd rd player possibly

Theres a difference between being solid and having the ability to "do great thing"

Yeah I realize that, but hes a mature pocket passer with above average arm stregnth and accuracy. While I wouldnt call him spectacular I do think he has the tools to be a very good NFL Qb. We'll find out in a year or so.
