2006 Mock Drafts

I think Omar Jacobs will be around when we pick but I dont see us having a shot at Leinart who should go #1,,,unless we really really suck this year and that AINT gonna happen. :D

What would be awesome is getting Leak in the second. Won't happen though.

Yeah that would be a steal, good post.

at 7-9 or 8-8 we should still be able to nab Leak, and that's perfectly fine for me. Zook at Florida was as bad as Wanny here, Leak should have a monster year this year once the offense loosens up. I see him as an outside contender for the Heisman.

You know looking at an 8-8 season like many are I'm kinda looking at DT still but there are 2 DT from LSU that Saban could draft this year. Landy the S from LSU could be a sleeper pick right now.

You know thinking of LSU players, I hope they all fall this year do to Saban not coaching them. This would be a great outcome if this were to happen. Saban would have his choice then.

I agree there are a ton of players still at LSU that could go in the draft, from WR, OT, S, OLB, DT..etc.

Why? He's smallish and hasn't really proven anything yet. He struggles with accuracy and decisions. Combine that with his small size and I'm not sure he is a lock for the first round due to the fact that altough a good athlete, he's not a Vick's class in athleticism or arm strength. (not many are though)

I think it's possible he could be there in the second or even third depending on how he does this year.

The thing is he doesnt have to come out this year. He can still go bakc to school for one more year depending on how he does. If he has a great year he will definately declare but if not he has one more year to develope.

Not to mention there's a good chance he won't leave after this year.
Leak is not even close to being NFL ready. I'd love to see him make some great strides this year, but I'd bet he comes back for his senior year.
