2009-2010 Miami Heat Thread: Race to the Finish

Spoelstra and Wade made some lousy decisions in the 4th. I get the strict rotations when you're sleepwalking through the season, but this is crunch time......you can't afford to let Wade and O'Neal spend that much of the game on the bench when they were the only players keeping the team afloat.

And Wade and really the whole team reacted poorly to Charlotte's double teaming. This can't come as a shock that teams are going to double Wade late in close games.

I love Wade and all but I wonder if any body in this organization has the guts to tell him to stop taking those awful pull up 3's.

I don't blame him for jacking up the three. They were running the double at him the moment he put the ball on the floor. He first tries to pass it out but there's noone who can take it to the rim. Then they try a two man game with Beasley and Beasley can't handle the pass. Then the miss by QRich when he tries to pass it out again. He could have tried to force it but he hadn't been getting calls all game and its more likely it would have ended up with a bad shot or turnover. So if you're Wade in that situation what do you do?

You develop a legitimate 3 point shot first. Wasn't the first time...

Wade hits 30% from three point land....probably >35% when he steps into the shot. What was the higher probability shot?

Id rather post up JO in that situation or a drive and kick to Q or Mike for an open look. A contested pull up 3 from Wade simply isn't a good shot. Especially not at that point. I believe we still had 2 more possessions. Not only is it a bad shot it's too early for that all or nothing desperation sh*t.

I don't know about you guys but I'd like to make the playoffs if for nothing else to kill a little more time of football offseason.

Well we need to start putting together a lot of wins, because we're in the 8th seed with about 5 teams gunning for 4 spots. It'll blow if we're the team that gets left out.

It looks like the Bulls are falling apart without Noah. And I find it hard to believe the Bucks are this good.

Win 4 or 5 out of the next 9 and they're at least a 7 seed. The last 8 games are all against lottery teams which by that time will have their stars sitting out with bruised toes and hyperextended pinkies.

lol - what happened to ferrett's enlightening post? i wanted my nephew to read it...

Upon looking at our schedule, yes, we have no excuse not to make it. But you never know. Some of this teams worst losses come against crap or mediocre teams.

True. I still do think it'll be a lot easier as the season winds down. Against the Clippers you could tell half the team didn't care....the only ones that did were those with expiring deals looking to pad their stats.
