*** 2011-12 NHL Regular Season Thread ***

Can't believe the Canes shut out the Caps without Ward. How they mighty have fallen. I would like to see Ovie regain his form. I'm guessing Bumpus and others here might not like him, but I think when he and Crosby are both healthy and playing well, their rivalry does great things for the league

I've got no issues with Ovechkin. He knows exactly how to be a good little ***** come playoff time.

Dallas is one up on the Habs halfway through the game. Our lone goal came from something called Ryan Garbutt

Garbutt is playing on a line with Toby Peterson and Jake Dowell, has played 4 minutes, yet somehow leads the team in shots this game

Hey, what? we WON?!?! I... I'm not even sure how to feel, this is so foreign.

Seriously though, I'm glad Ribeiro scored because he's one of my favorite guys on the team and I realize this could very well be his last game as a Star. Wouldn't be shocked to see him get traded. Even less shocked if we get absolutely nothing in return, the way this team is run.

And Garbutt ended up leading the team in shots tonight, despite being a 4th line winger. 4th line wingers should not lead the team in shots. Dude needs to pass the puck more before his teammates start thinking of him as a black hole. You know, puck goes in, never comes out...

:D

Well yeah, there's about 28 other teams that would take him in a heartbeat. The only team he wouldn't be a big upgrade to is the Rangers imo. And its pretty close there

(I'm talking about Rinne, of course lol not Bryz)

I got that, not many teams would want Bryz.

Dallas comes back to win against the, granted, Toews-less Hawks. Still, a win is a win and points are points. Ryder and Ribs had another good outing, and Bachman played well in goal for us in Lehtonen's absence. Pretty good day for the Stars :)
