2012 QB Class Comparison

Carr is better than Tannehill right now as a rookie with a terrible team compared to a 3rd year quarterback. That's the comparison

What exactly is the proof behind this? It isn't wins b/c Oakland doesn't have any. It isn't completions, yards, or TDs, because Tannehill has more. Carr has less TDs and more INTs.

Granted 3 games is a small sample size and it means nothing but you're the one already comparing the two QBs and saying Carr is better.

So, how?

I know no one is watching them, but I'm jumping on the Sean Mannion bandwagon in the draft. Prototypical size, good arm strength, runs a pro style offense under Mike Riley, produces every year including putting two great WR into the draft (Wheaton/Cooks). Yep, Sean Mannion in Aqua/Coral in 2015. Let's have two OrSt QBs on the team. lol.

Football, especially in the NFL, is a game of match ups. Stats don't mean **** in this regard, and I'm not backing Tannehill when I say that. He has played like ass, and deserves the criticism (doesn't mean his doubters should be coming out the woodwork and bashing the entire fanbase who didn't agree with their opinion), but those quarterbacks played different caliber defenses, every game. You have to watch the tape to get a true comparison of all those guys, stats only tell a small portion of the story.

The baddest match up in football is teams built wisely VS teams that don't have a clue.

QB Rating- Carr=74.9 Tannehill=74.1
ESPN QBR- Carr=48.5 Tannehill=27.2

I'm really into the draft so I watched about 10 games of each coming out of college. I've also seen the Jets and Pats game for Carr, and all 3 Tannehill games. Carr is superior in every aspect of quarterback play, besides throwing curls and comebacks. Carr is the better athlete as well.

One thing to note that is a glaring problem to us all; Out if all the QBs Tannehill is the only one who's completion percentage is lower than hood career average... And Tannehills percentage is drastically lower than his his career percentage.
