2014 Complete Miami Draft

Its a mistake to NOT draft a QB in most any draft.

IF you score you can trade - if you don't so what?

Lets say for example, a quarterback is available in the third round. Lets say any round and Connor Shaw is available? Would we pull the trigger on a guy like this?
Should we consider drafting a QB at all?

I think we should. Give Tannehill a push and who knows what might happen with the pick?

I would have never asked this question had we won at least one of our last two games. But I think we should grab a guy like Shaw. If anything, it would make camp and the pre-season quite interesting.

BTW......Connor Shaw is a beast and a QB all packed into one player.

Wyoming QB Brett Smith could be a real steal in round 3 or 4.

First of all I'm a huge SC fan (like you i'm sure) and I think Connor Shaw is one of the best college qb's to play the game. However, IMHO he is not a pro QB and he will probably be a late round/free agent type player.
I would not even draft a qb.

When I moved here to SC you know I had to choose. I took SC. Orange makes me sick!.......LOL

I don't know this guy. But I do know Connor Shaw. Shaw impressed me all year long. This is one tough kid.
Everyone here is saying he is not NFL material, but I disagree.

I think back to the bowl game when Spurrier told the nation the kid needs a chance. To give him a shot. The team that does, is going to be very lucky. Of course this is JMHO.

I'm thinking more Jimmy Garrapolo in the 3rd or 4th (if he falls that far, he probably won't). Dude has a cannon and is very accurate. 53 TD passes this season. Over 100 for his college career.

It's not that he's not pro material, just that he is limited physically ie. arm strength. I think there are simply too many better options this season if you wanted to draft a QB in the mid rounds to use a pick on Shaw. There could be 12-15 QB drafted this year, that's a lot.

Every time I see that Bodine name I think of the Clampetts.

Likewise, I know there's a small college player named Billy Turner in this draft. That will always mean Seattle Slew to me.

Don't waste a pick on any Qb this year... We might only have 6 picks with like 6 spots that need a starter with maybe only 1-3 being signed from free agency... Get real guys, we're not in a position to try to get 3rd string depth or possible replacement for the future. We need something from this draft for right now.

if it's mosley we better hope it's not another one of those peaked as a collegian like som of those recent bama picks...the instincts are good so i think it would be ok but man...and he's light in the loafers if he's 240 come combine i bet he drank a tub full of water before weigh in

i dont think dennard gets to #19...with olomu going back to school i dont see any comp for the top corner pick

right now i probably lean amaro to be honest...given the tackle options wont be good and its too high for me to grab a guard...i can flex out amaro and give lbs and safeties fits with that size and catch radius...and the dts scare me...will sutton ate himself to try and show he is heavy enough to play every down when 285 lb stick of dynamite interior pass rusher is what he should be

Ebron could be a possibility here also.. just go BPA

if they dont fix this oline won't matter who we take...i'd love the bpa thing but no action on the oline in free agency they better have a hell of a draft plan...that's all i know...and even then an oline full of rookies is a gulp plan...

I would spend a lot of that 38 Million in Cap Space on the oline
