2016 Coaching Data Base

Wonder if the Dolphins met with a college coach or coaches on the days they only had on interview. They probably would have kept it quiet because of recruiting. Might have met with Mora.

The Mora talk when totally quiet.. I think if they did interview him word would have gottten out but who knows for sure.

Campbell has to come in with legit coordinators and show how they would come with him. I wonder if it would sell in the end.

I think the report that MT is doling out interviews to some candidates as a favor to agents holds a lot of water. Makes sense as to why we are bringing so many guys in. Now of course the problem is trying to figure out which guys were interviewed as favors and which are legit candidates.

My top 5 of those we have interviewed or requested.

1. Shanaahan
2. Jackson
3. Smith
4. Austin
5. Toss up on Gase and Campell(dependent on coordinators)

Steep drop off after #3

I wonder after this week playoffs games and more people can interview if it slows the process down for a while.

I would be more pleased to see Campbell get and make a success of this job than any other candidate. Unlikely but that would be ****ing awesome

After the way he handled the Miko situation I don't think Campbell deserves it. You have part of your team rallying against your QB and a locker room described by reports as circus-like. Of course the players want him to stay, he's their buddy they can do whatever they want.

I bet his first call was to Parcells asking him to make some calls. I really wouldn't be against DC if he had legit coordinators, just don't see how it's possible. Obviously the coordinators Tony got from the Parcells tree didn't light the world on fire.

My list: Shanahan, Jackson, Haley, Gase, DC.

Here's a different name getting an interview with the Buccaneers.

I'm told the #Bucs are scheduled to interview #Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin today for their head coaching vacancy.

For us or everybody?

I think Haley and Mcdermott are still options. Think I read we have no interest in Shula. Could be a long lull after Jackson. Senior Bowl activities start Jan 25, teams usually have matters in order well before that.

I wonder if that is the "favor for an agent" interview she was talking about last night?

I mean in general..for everyone. Do either of the Pats cooridnators have confirmed interviews yet?

I would think so on the process slowing . Not too many names popping up from the teams playing this weekend. I have a feeling we'll see some hires Sunday and Monday. Here is the tracker I posted yesterday, updates often. Looks like the pats coaches are only drawing interest from us and the Browns, nothing scheduled.

Could be, although I saw a quote on twitter of someone wondering why he hadn't been interviewed yet, can't remember who.

As it’s January, it’s the time of year that UCLA coach Jim Mora has been linked to NFL openings.
Currently, there are seven head coaching vacancies, including the San Francisco 49ers, where Mora was once the team’s defensive coordinator.

Speaking Thursday afternoon on AM 570 radio, Mora reiterated his interest in remaining at UCLA.

“I’ve rejected overtures from my alma mater and other powerhouse programs, NFL teams,” he said. “I’ve made a significant donation to our new facility. I’ve never really wavered. It’s interesting people question that still. There’s nothing else I can do. I’m not going to put out a statement every week that there’s no truth to something.

My current top five based on the interviews or intent to interview are the following:
1. Jackson
2. Marrone
3. Austin
4. Gase
5. Campbell

I am in favor of experience, but I like the upside more of Austin and Gase compared to the experience and what they have to offer at this point of Smith and Shanahan.

Campbell has to go in today and have a legit OC in mind to land the job. He could argue that Anarumo did a good job based on the following:
* Inherited Coyle's system.
* Injury to Wake
* Playing with undrafted UFA LB's
* Decline in Grimes
* No other boundary CB
* Loss of Delmas
