2016 Coaching Data Base

It sounds like if Gase backed out, Marrone would be next guy in based on Mando's report.

However, I think they land him.

This is interesting nonetheless.

Gase will do fine. The question is can he be great?

If the options are Gase or Marrone I guess I'll just roll with Gase as much as I think it's a huge risk...

Last thing this team needs is a quitter coaching them.

If they want Gase......go all in on him. Don't let money be an issue, just get him.

He is definitely not the guy I would have hired, but it is what it is.......I'll support him and wish him well. The one thing that can't happen though is having him turn us down.

Who else is in the running for him? Philly? NYG?

Keeping Campbell on staff is absurd. Perhaps Ross should hit up a local junior college and take a management 101 course. I seriously have a hard time believing that an accomplished business man can believe that keeping the old HC, who still commands the loyalty of a chunk of the locker room, is smart in any way.

We don't have the same meaning of swinging for the fences.

He said he wanted a young Don Shula.

Gase is a guy who fits the archetype of what a young Don Shula would be. That doesn't mean he is a young Don Shula, but Ross is willing to take a risk and find out if he is.

I respect that.
