If Darlington is reporting that then it's pretty damn done.
Coaches who aren't hired yet don't talk to players on the team.
thats interesting because out of everything i've heard and read I can see tannehill and gase getting along well...that is the real silver lining for me, I think they could mesh well and it could be a good fit for our qb....that being said there's a lot more to being an HC than getting along with the qb....little disappointing but considering the pool of coaching candidates we had it's not too bad...hue jackson would've been a nice interview, coughlin as well....oh well, other teams will get the jeep wrangler from 2010 (1995 in coughlin's case) and we'll get the brand new hoverboard, ross always wants the new expensive toy.
I had Tom Coughlin on my list to interview based on my the thought process I was going through. I had two issues though with his hire...
1. Without question, Miami would be going through a hiring process again in a few years...regardless of wins and losses.
2. It was embarrassing how TC handled the OBJ game with Carolina. He looked like either a man that lost control of his team or was so desperate for his own job, he kept a player that lost his mind in the game.
The idea of keeping Dan Campbell to be the heir to TC was so utopian in nature. Who is to say Campbell would be the guy four years from now? How does the game change? Maybe you would not want anything from TC's staff? Bottom line was it sounded like a nice idea, but it was only good in theory.
Biggest winners in this selection:
1. Steve Ross- got his first choice
2. Tannehill- perhaps best coach on the market that can help his play
3. Tannenbaum- lands the hottest candidate on the market.

Tannehill is one of Darlington's inside men
