I have no exact knowledge of what Hue wanted to do w/QB spot, but I've repeatedly heard that Kaepernick remains an issue for the 49ers.

They have everything you need to make a quick turn around. Young qb, young talent around him, good defense, #1 pick, #1 priority on the waiver wire.
