But exactly how many games are like this? Why cater to teams that stink on defense for 48 minutes?

A game coming down to just seeing which team can stop a 2 point try isn’t really seeing which team is better,
That’s a good point. I don’t know what the right answer is honestly.

I rewatched ending of game before overtime. Everyone talks about mahomes or allen and tying fg by chiefs to bring game to overtime. But this is also the difference with good coaching. I'm not talking about the second guessing ppl have towards bills special teams or hc for defense on last 13 seconds. But so many coaches blow timeouts in second half or use atleast one before last two minutes of game. Reid had chiefs with 3 timeouts. And even tho romo said game was over. That's usually true, but when you have 3 timeouts with an elite qb and super fast dynamic WRs as well as only need a fg. That's more time than ppl think. Those timeouts gave chiefs more time than what 13 seconds seems as a result and why they were able to get distance to get game tying fg. This isn't happening with one left. It gave them the blanket to launch passes in the middleof the field that they couldn't do with that time left if no timeouts or just 1 was left.
Agreed and is why I was saying they need to kick the KO in the field of play so that the chefs could only run 1 play and not 2.

This was the type of game the NFL wanted with the rule changes. The protect the QBs. The protect the WRs. And damn it comes down to a coin flip with the other QB that also put on a show never seeing the field again.

Just play the full 15 min. No EPs allowed every TD must have a 2 point attempt.

I have been saying that for years that I hate the OT rules. This really makes me despise them.

I feel you... Stafford and Burrow, rooting for them both! I'll see who I'm feeling when it comes down to it. So you're pulling for Stafford? Man he's always been one of my favorites. I've always felt for him being anchored down in Detroit for so long!
yeah i've also always liked stafford.. you're right about detroit... he had a tough supporting cast there

Lol, no one wins in Detroit. Stafford should have left a long time ago.

At this point, I can’t stand any of the teams left. The team that I hate the least would probably be Bengals. I really don’t want to see Mahomes in another superbowl.

exactly.. Allen also did that to another team (i forget who it was) but he is a classless jerk.. always whining too

Unfortunately we will have to deal with his sorry ass for the next 15 years.

IDK - he always struck me as kinda a loser. He started to melt down yesterday but credit to him he got his **** back together for that last drive. He had Megatron in Detroit / those teams weren’t all bad.

I do think each team should get to possess the ball. If you you get a takeaway that’s your possession coming up. I read an article last night that was bumped from October that said since 2010 the team receiving the kickoff wins 57% of the time. So nothing has really changed w the new rules.

The 2 QB’s matched each other play for play. The difference in the end was coaching. Reid made the right calls and the Bills coach didn’t. Squib kick with 13 to go basically put Chiefs in Hail Mary situation. Dumb coaching when you had game won.
