The absolutely ludicrous outpouring of whining and crying on social media is hilarious. Everyone crying about OT rules needing to be changed. No they really don’t.

It really is. If the same thing had happened to us, I wouldn't be losing my mind that we didn't get a chance to score also. I would be more disgusted that our D couldn't stop a blind ****ing snail.

Rules have been the same for years now...Don't see the issue, keep them to a field goal and you get a chance to win simple. If not thanks for playing LOL

Still a ridiculously dumb rule.

At minimum both teams should get a chance at something. Great offense and bad defense, but you lost the coin flip? LOL YOU LOSE. There's no rationalizing that it doesn't need changing.

But here’s the thing and I think it’s a legit point - the rules were changed to make it more fair so that the team receiving the KO didn’t have an advantage. Since 2010, the team getting the ball first wins 57% of the time. So there is something to it. If it was an easy solve it would have been done already. But it’s definitely not the 50/50 the NFL was going for.

Changing topics real quick - anyone else find it curious that in the same week the asshat that is Tom Brady runs his mouth in public about how he gets away with trash talking refs, he gets the first unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of his career? Cmon man.

Even Josh Allen sad if they had scored first they would be celebrating.

It is what it is until the rule is changed but fans know that's how it works. Ask your defense to do it's job.

Just play defense and stop the team with the first possession from scoring a TD. It is a pretty simple rule. Just because it was a great game everyone is whining about "fair". I think that the majority that are complaining are the trophy generation that wants to see everyone get a participation ribbon.

This was the type of game the NFL wanted with the rule changes. The protect the QBs. The protect the WRs. And damn it comes down to a coin flip with the other QB that also put on a show never seeing the field again.

Just play the full 15 min. No EPs allowed every TD must have a 2 point attempt.

I have been saying that for years that I hate the OT rules. This really makes me despise them.

****

Seriously. This isn't like soccer or hockey where you can do a shootout.

Just let them play a full quarter, ESPECIALLY in playoff games.

After 4 quarters the offense has a major advantage over the defense generally in terms of what's left in the tank.

I just don’t think anyone wanted that game to end lol. What a great football weekend every game ended on the last play. Pretty awesome

One more thought on the Bills before they fade away…. They are close to a Super Bowl….About as close as a team can be without getting there. They need to make a really bold move in the off-season. Trade for a big-time RB like Zeke or someone like him. It’s gonna cost them….But who cares. They’ll be in the Super Bowl. Regardless…..They can’t keep running with Allen like they’re doing now. Eventually….One of those hits he’s taking is gonna cause real damage.

I've figured out how to appease those whining about overtime rules.

Have both offenses take the field at the same time at the same 35 yard line. One team gets the left hash, one team gets the right hash. No defenses. Each offense runs plays and sees how many touchdowns they can score in say 2 minutes. After each touchdown, they have to line back up and do a new play. Skill positions can interfere with the other offense down the field, but cannot line up offsides. No rushing the quarterback. The QB lines up as far back as punters. The O-linemen have to rotate who snaps the ball.

Terrible idea, right? At least it's better than penalty kicks.
