The bottom line is with an awesome roster you can temporarily win with every QB.

It's just that long term maintaining a roster that good isn't viable year to year, you're going to have dips.

Great QB don't turn **** into treasure, but they take mediocre seasons and they turn them into good or great ones.

That's what I want to see from Tua. Not a guy that needs everything around him right, a guy who just needs enough around him.

Dolphins roster had enough to make the playoffs with a great QB, or even an above average QB (eg Jimmy G).

Whether they could have actually gone deep is where it gets murky. Other rosters are much more complete.

I just want a Tua lover to tell me we have a Josh Allen underneath center. I WANT you to TELL me that. I WANT TO BE THAT GUY! I LONG TO EAT CROW! You think I don’t want a QB? Dude, that whole Chad Penning was a Jet or Thurman Thomas was a Bills thing lingers on me. F@ck, it’s crazy. But I’ll take it. Anything to see our ballclub prosper. But if you’re telling me we have a young Josh Allen running our team, you are wrong, brother. You are wrong. Tua is a f@cking good QB. If we put a team around him, I AM CERTAIN HE CAN WIN. But can he do what you see these playoff, crazy QBs do? Can he? I don’t know. All I know is that I haven’t seen it.
Of course he can't. He never will, but luckily the improv flick of the wrist throws on the moves 30 yards downfield are not what drives an offense. They're not what gets you to the playoffs in the first place.

The best QB of all-time can't do any of that **** either. You need pocket presence, accuracy, read progression, and you need to be able to do it when it counts. That's what the Dolphins were looking at when they took Tua. Do we know for sure we have that? No, nobody does for sure. I think we do, but I certainly can't prove it until this offense has actual players on it, some toughness, and better than high school level coaching on the offensive line.

The Bills made the playoffs the year before they took Allen.
The Chiefs made the playoffs the year before they took Mahomes.
The Packers made the playoffs the year before they took Rodgers.
Brady went to the Bucs because they had a lot of talent and were being held back by their QB.

Moral of the story is that you'll never know what you actually have for real until the rest of the team isn't bad. If people think ignoring the rotting pieces of the organization and instead trying to upgrade from an average to possibly top 10 QB to try and get one of those elite top 3 QBs and expecting them to carry you to the promised land, well... the LAST fanbase that should think that would actually work should be Dolphin fans. I have as many rings as Marino does for those same reasons.

Lord after watching last night's game, I don't think we have chance to even make it to a superbowl, how do we compete with Mahomes and Allen who look like they will dominate the AFC for years to come. Like the new Brady and Manning except more freakish.

Bless & I totally feel this! Respect.
Personally I detest the Pats and Jets more so than the Bills. Maybe that's because I've never witnessed the Bills being relevant before now. Or the fact that I've never experienced the fans in Buffalo before. 😆🙏
Yeah, they dominated us in the early '90s, wasn't pretty. They went to the SB 4 straight years, didn't win though. Losers.
Any fanbase that throws dildos on the field has no class. There are women and children attending these games. Very disrespectful act IMO...

You’re on the mark, dude. We haven’t been able to put a full team behind a QB for a long time. Tannehill was good, bro. He wasn’t great but we could’ve done what the Titans have done had we put a team around Tannehill. We got him killed early and often. But my main point is that we don’t have that QB that can overcome. Tell me you’re not watching that Tampa game- all avenues exhausted- but you got that Brady. We haven’t felt that way since Marino. Dude, there’s 13 secs left on the clock and you have Mchomes. Do you feel the same if we have Tua? You don’t. And that’s what I’m talking about. That magic. Tua hasn’t shown that magic. Tua is a good QB. But has he shown us those bits and pieces that make you goo goo ga ga? He hasn’t. We got away from Brady only to haven Allen come our way. And Allen is balling, bro. Allen should’ve won that game last night. For any FOOTBALL fan other than a DOLPHINS fan watches Allen and asks, “Why not us?”.

We've had two HoF QBs in this franchise's history. There's a reason why we had the highest winning percentage at one point of any team in any sport historically so I don't want to be that guy crying about bad luck.

We had our opportunities. We chose Culpepper over Brees. We didn't tank for Luck when we were leading the race. We didn't continue the tank 2 years ago where we would have ended up with Burrow. We're doing it to ourselves so that's the answer to "Why not us?" Because we've made poor decisions.

Keep building the team and stack them with talent and give the QB an actual chance. I'm not scared of Allen like I was a combo of Brady and Belichick and if you think they're comparable, well then you're out of your mind lol. KC will regress when Mahomes's contract eats away at the rest of their team just like it will with Allen's. If you want to beat those kind of guys, the key is pass rush and always has been. More than one way to skin a cat.

This is Buffalo we're talking about. The women and children were likely the ones throwing them on the field.

It's actually more disturbing they had them on hand to begin with than the fact that they were thrown.

Like...who packs for the game like:

Team hat: Check
Jersey: Check
Beer For Tailgate: Check
Dildo: Check

Bills' defense slipped a little in 4th qtr. Pass rush was weak. In the playoffs, the full 15 minutes in OT should be played. But the same OT rules worked against the Chiefs when Brady was a Patriot. Josh Allen has proven his worth.

I expect the Rams to beat the 49ers and the Chiefs to beat the Bengals in a close game. Tyreek Hill versus Jamar Chase. Dolphins better keep building through the draft.
FWIW, the 49ers have beaten the Rams twice already. The Rams may very well win this time -- it's tough to beat a team three times -- but it's really not because the Rams are the superior team. As much as people hate to see them play, the 49ers are a damn effective team.

I agree Miami is way way way off from being competitive against these playoff squads. They need a great offensive minded coach and then loads of talent that wants to be a TEAM.
