Im not so read up on future opponents scheduling. How is it OP knows these games and if they are Home or Away already? I get the division stuff, but how do you determine location?
There is a rotation of scheduling so that no team goes more than 8 years between hosting another.
The formula is this:
* 6 games against teams in your division (home and home).
* 4 games against teams in another AFC division, with the divisions rotating every 3 years. Next year, that division is the AFC North. Whichever teams we drew as home in 2019, we play away next year.
* 4 games against teams in another NFC division, with the divisions rotating every 4 years. Next year, that division is the NFC North. Whichever teams we drew as home in 2018, we play away next year.
* 2 games against teams that finished in the same spot in the other AFC divisions. Because we're already playing the AFC North, those two games will be against the AFC South and AFC West. One will be home, the other away.
* The newly added 17th game is against a team that finished in the same spot in a NFC division. Last year, we hosted the Giants. Next year, we play at a NFC West team.
