You know it might be even worse piling on a rookie QB who won the job fairly who in his first game is facing a Wade Phillips D and a team many are picking to make the SB. Really, which is being more moronic?

I guess where Tannehill "won" the job was against Tampa Bay's 2nd stringers in the first game of the preseason? It certainly wasn't his 11-23, 100 yard performance against Carolina in game 2 or his 11-27, 112 yard, 1 int effort against Atlanta in game 3 or his 5-7, 35 yard performance against Dallas to close out the preseason. In those three games Tannehill was 27-57, 47.36%, 247 yards (4.33 ypa), 0 TD, 1 int, 52.30 QB rating...Miami scored one TD and 3 FGs (one of those drives actually lost 2 yards but defense gave offense ball at 30).
Truth is if Tannehill wasn't the #8 pick in the draft and Miami had a legitimate alternative there is no way Tannehill starts this year. Nor should he. I hope Tannehill develops to become a legit starter given we could have had a player like Kuechly, but "reality" is Tannehill looks to be in over his head right now.
