3 games, 0 first team TDs

Pre-season or not, 7 fumbles is not acceptable. Just like last years regular season vs Pitts with 7 turnovers wasn't acceptable.

Disappointing how little has changed on Miami's offensive side of the ball from last years 17-3 loss to this years 13-3 loss.

But the defense should be very good. Is improving every game as players get used to Saban's system.

i hadnt realized that, we definately have some ground to make up.

its only preseason. and you didnt have brown out there.

Its sad when some posters on here need to be encouraged about the Dolphins play by a Bills fan. Come on we really haven't played that bad and the defense is doing a very good job.

Even the Bills fan gets it!

im sure the fins will improve. i really do like brown as a player, and i would like to see what he can add to the team. after 3 or 4 games, we will see how he plays, and how your team plays. (but i do think the fins will finish last in the division, but its gunna be a tough division)

and add a few more to the list. :D :bandwagon

If the O-line improves, either QB will be OK. Niether one is lights out but, we don't need that. We have enough talent at RB and WR to make things happen. We don't want to put it all on Gus, AJ, or whoever. Nothing will change until the line improves, with or without a gameplan!

Im glad us Jets play you guys in week 2. Should be fun for us :)

Offense Is going to be a problem all year for us...I think its going to improve pretty dramatically as the year goes on and we will be FAR better off then last year. The O-line will only get better (and we dont play Pit level Ds everygame) and our running game will at least get the focus of the oppositions D coordinator and should leave us with some deep options. I think our D will Keep us in just about everygame so it should be a far more enjoyable experience than last years cluster..

Jacksonville has arguably the best Def-line in the NFL and a very solid defense overall, Steelers has a TOP 3 defense..IMO, considering our situation, if we played well against them we should be talking SB, cause the defense is already playing pretty good

i'm not going to count gus's arrant throw to the TE that sailed way off the mark and gilmore made a circus catch.

so, as it stands, thats 3 preseason games and no 1st team tds.
:shakeno:

i don't want to hear the game plan excuse or the system is new or the unit is gelling BLAH BLAH BLAH..

no one else is game planning, and there are other teams running new systems with new players, and they don't suck on offense as bad as we do right now.

edit: gus actually wasn't even playing with the first team in the bears game so that wasn't a first team td anyway

Did you see how bad SF looked ??? As bad as we're playing right now, we aren't the worst...and you HAVE to consider scheme as a reason for our O not playing well right now...it is completely different than what has been run here the last 8 years, so even tho RM and CC and SM should be well versed, they are NOT...not yet...now, I did see improvement from the Bears game to the Jags game...we did digress against the Steelers, although there is a definite difference in the quality of the opponent...BTW...tell me the teams with new systems ?? Other than the Jets, I can't think of anyone and they didn't change the too many players compared to what we have done this offseason...

Still...excuses are like, well you know. We played poorly and it started with the OL...funny thing...last preseason, when many of us fans were saying the same thing about how poorly the OL was playing, the coaching staff was praising them....

The most distubing thing last night was the false starts with the starting unit. I thought with Gus getting the majority of the work with the first unit they were supposed to improve.

I have to agree here, the false starts by these guys are amazing...just like last year. There should be huge consequences for these guys jumping - I hope Houck is in there a$$e$. Make them run (not these days), demote them, something - forget about opening a hole right now, we can't even get off the line.

By the way, off topic here, it was real sad to learn abou the death of the SanFran lineman. I can only imagine what his mom is going thru right now -- this GAME is not that important.

Good post...Not only have we changed the O system Like the Jets(running/passing they left the O-line alone).. we have changed EVERY system O-line D-line LB DB Running Passing the only thing we HAVENT changed is the special teams (as far as I know). Am I dissapointed...A little but I wasnt really expecting to execute like that Pats after 3 games...the sky isnt falling yet imo.

There is a HUGE difference between last year's loss and this year's loss.

1) both teams actually gameplanned for each other
2) 1st string defenses played the entire game
3) 1st string offenses played the entire game
4) Entire gameplans were used by both teams
5) One was a real game, the other was a glorified scrimmage.

pittsburgh's starters on offense have been shut out for two weeks. i'll bet they're going to score some points this year.

yeah, the phins need to play better. it'll happen.
