4th of July has special meaning for Dolphins players

I think this nation has plenty of faults, but it has been a force for good and there is no other country I would want to live in.

Force for good is somewhat of a blanket statement. I think overall Im proud to be an American but the slaughter of native americans and driving them out of their own country to be boxed into where we want to put them is hardly just a fault.
Enslaving a group pf people just because we thought they were not as good as us and building much of the country of their backs is not just a fault. You are right though almost every country has had there share of disgraceful occurances.
I actually could live in quite a few countries but prefer the US because its what I know and the people I am close to live there. Korea, Canada, Italy, England, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.
Im sure there are many other countries that would be great places to live. Good and bad are objective choices based on where one is from and what they are taught. The US has done a lot of great things in the world spectrum but so have many other countries have done many great things also.

Just for the record we celebrate independence day on July 4th which is the wrong day. The declaration was written on july 2. According to the congressional records of the time half of the signers of the declaration were not even elected to office until August 9. July 4th marks the day a copy of the declaration (which would be amended and changed numerous times before finally being signed by all delegates and sent to Britian) was read publicly. The founding fathers never gathered in one place to sign this document. They we all wanted criminals in the eyes of the British crown. They did not gather deliberate and write. They got to Philladelphia whenever they could signed of refused to sign then dodged British soliders to go home. Basically independence day should fall more along the lines of August 9 and not JUly 4th.

But July 4 works better. It falls around the middle of summer, much better weather than the heat on August 9. Christmas shouldn't be on the 25th either.

NRA, for the record, I agree with you. Everything has completely lost it's meaning in this country and it's downright pathetic. I was just saying, if somebody wants to travel, let them travel. I have a bigger issue with the people that 'celebrate' the holiday with fireworks without knowing what the purpose of those fireworks are.

Congratulations to Caleb Sturgis on his marriage. Best wishes for happiness and success to Caleb and his bride. We are looking at him to lift his accuracy this season. Have some fun on your honeymoon with the extra Offensive weapons you will be busy this year.
