7/25 Camp Tweets - Day 1

Mike Pouncey said he's feeling pretty good and doesn't want to miss any games. But he's going to listen to the doctors and go from there.

I like seeing this. People who say Pouncey who is just in it for the money aren't paying any attention to what football means to him and the injuries he played through last year. Hopefully though its not just lip service.

I know Wake is a beast but the comment "James going against Cameron Wake is unfair" still makes me a little queasy.

Anyone elese shocked to see Mike Wallace, Cameron Wake and Dion Jordan practicing today in a Dolphins uniform? I thought Jason La Canfora told us earlier this year all three were going to be traded. :idk:

I realize that but there aren't many padded practices and the same issues that we're present in otas and minicamp were there today...and they did us in in 2013 so it's hard to ignore...

pass pro has to get better pads or no pads...Hyde said 3 of the first 4 pass plays today would have been sacks...final 11 on 11 was ugly also

I really think no pads put the o-linemen at a distinct disadvantage for the offensive line. They aren't able to really use leverage or push to keep the defender at bay while the d-linemen gets to use two of their biggest advantages, hand fighting and speed to do their job. With that being said, they do need to improve.

Sounds like Misi though was on point in his responsibilities as a MLB in run defense. I have major concerns about him in that position.

Because we have never heard an athlete using scripted cliches before... especially one of Gainesville's finest?

I went today. It was super. Defense was real aggressive and Finnegan looks good. Jordan looks huge man he doped up heavy this offseason

I'm glad that he did what he had to do. Sucks that he got caught.

James also pancaked Wake earlier in practice. There will be growing pains but he has shown he can hold his own. James going against Wake in practice is only a positive in my eyes.

More like Wake was taking it easy on him...James put him on his butt....and few plays later Wake said, "Oh, yah rook...take this..". That's how I read it...

I did address the lip service aspect...but you have yet to address the fact that Pouncey has played through a great deal of pain in the past.

People on this forum and NFL fans in general want the teams they play for to have all choir boys but fact of the matter is that just isn't possible. Many of the players in the NFL grew up in poverty where they were associated with gangs and gang members on a daily basis. It's hard to just turn your back on everyone and everything you knew in life. Especially when you survived those situations together. People need to worry more about how they are serving as role models to their children while teaching their children right from wrong and not them looking up to athletes who they know nothing about to set perfect examples on what to do in life.

How did the offense use motion to take advantage of mismatches? There wasn't a single tweet about that.

You think Wake who preaches dedication and treats his body as a temple was taking it easy on the rookie? I doubt it. This wasn't the first time either that James has put Wake to the turf. He did it in OTA's as well.
