7/25 Camp Tweets - Day 1

I agree. The coaches should come to a consensus of their best line combo and run with it. Make a commitment to a group and let them play.
I guess the Pouncey situation meant they were never going to be able to settle on a strict lineup, but it sucks for Thomas to get moved again.

I agree with what you guys are saying about D. Thomas moving again....but at least as a RG he has his best friend, and fellow Vol. playing next to him. These two have played together well while in college. Hopefully it will translate to the NFL. I say keep him there and let those two work out their rookies mistake now.

Deep passes won't happen if they O-line can't block the front four like last year. Tannehill was getting hit on 3-step drops against Buffalo last year. Who cares if the safeties and linebackers take a step back when the DTs and DEs get to the QB anyway.

Getting rid of the ball quicker will help reduce sacks...except for Buffalo who completely dominated our O-line.

Funny, I seem to remember him getting pl;enty of attempted deep balls off last year...I guess if u have a bad o line you can never ever pass..

They didn't play side by side in college, so it's kind of irrelevant that they were former teammates. Look, Colledge is prob a bit of an upgrade, ESP with Pouncey out, so I can see why they bumped Thomas across. Plus, Thomas is probably just glad to be getting reps with the 1s, but all this shifting is stunting his development and is very symptomatic of a management that lacks a clear vision.

Nate Garner has been a backup on this team for the longest. He is not good enough to crack the starting lineup even with all the turmoil on our OL. I have grown tired of this "jack of all trades" that never plays.
he's played and started. then ... he gets injured.

Will Davis and Dion Sims could both be cut. Neither would shock me. Lets see how Davis gets on with another offseason and how Sims fits the new scheme. I wouldn't be confident though.
I attended the first Training Camp session this morning. I thought that Will Davis moved very well. Don't be too quick to cut him (he's a boom or bust prospect and there is big upside). Will is very athletic and he wears iridescent lime on his shoes - you can't miss #29. He also looks a little bigger and stronger. I got to briefly meet a few of the players in person in the air conditioned bubble - Binns, Thigpen, Arthur Lynch (his hands are huge) and Brandon Gibson a little later (a real gentleman - very classy guy). Tannehill and many other Offensive players put in over 45 minutes after the session just signing autographs and it was very hot. Make no error Ryan went above and beyond his duty. He appeared very comfortable in his obvious popularity.

Oline play poor again...pass pro poor...missed wide open vertical against a serious mismatch in will Davis we got to hit...poor snaps all over the place...

Please get billy turner some right tackle reps as a plan b...dammit all

Misi the nickel backer better play a lot of zone coverages in sub package

Sounds a lot like 2013 right now

If Tannehill and Wallace had 10 TDs the first practice the complaint would then be the defense is awful. Day 1 of the first practice. Drawing conclusions from it doesn't need to occur.

No it doesnt. As someone who has taken Adderall for a while it causes you to lose weight..not gain it.

But..I did read that it is also used because it masks steroids.

Adderall isn't a masking agent. But things like amphetamines or adderall (aka "stimulants") are popular drugs to take during the cutting phase of bodybuilding because they increase metabolism and cause the body to burn fat at a faster rate. You spend 6 months adding bulk (fat and muscle), then you go into the cutting phase to reduce body fat, and pretty much anyone lifting heavy weights uses some kind of stimulant during the cutting phase. It doesn't mean they cheated at bodybuilding, but they are banned substances by the NFL.

They had that happen in OTAs.

Wallace had 4 td on Grimes and the whole overreaction was how Grimes looks "different".

I'd put Colledge at RG next to James and leave Dallas Thomas at LG next to Albert.

How did Smith do snapping? What kind of center background does he have?

More evidence #Dolphins want to be more communicative: Owner, GM and coach will all talk to media (you) today.

I am not interested in hearing from them. Show me some results. Talk to me when you can win some games.

First two plays of offense: a timeout and a botched snap. Wheeeeee.

Phins gonna phin
Tannehill to Binns on out route. Nice play.

We know he can complete these throws. Tell me he did something else well.

Olivier Vernon beats Branden Albert for what would have been a sack of Ryan Tannehill.

Uh oh. Someone might tell us that Albert is terrible because he gave up a sack to OV.

Deep from Tannehill to Wallace? Underthrown. Broken up by Will Davis, who was a step behind Wallace.

Tanny gonna tanny
Tannehill's deep pass to Mike Wallace is broken up by Will Davis. No chance on the floater.

Remember, all he needs to do is PRACTICE these throws everyday and he will magically begin hitting them. Floater is the perfect adjective here. It describes Tannehill well. We just needed to install those automatic flushers instead of spending all of that money to renovate the stadium.
Offense has looked a bit shaky. Penalties. Incomplete passes. But defense has been sharp.

The song remains the same. Que the "its the first day of camp and the defense is always ahead of the offense" crowd. We hear that one every year it seems.
Tannehill connects on deep throw to Mike Wallace. Seven on seven drill (hey better than nothing.)

7 on 7 you say. Wasnt there a thread about this? :ponder:
Tannehill inc on deep ball to Damian Williams. A but overthrown by Tannehill starting to air it out.
Great diving catch by Armon Binns on an off the mark pass from Tannehill during 11 on 11.

Get the Benny Hill theme out for this guy already.
Ryan Tannehill holds onto the ball too long in 7-on-7s again.

:bobdole:

Cortland Finnegan has his way with Mike Wallace on consecutive targets. A pass deflected; underthrow. RT17 + MW11 only linked up once today.

Put a real QB back there and it will be the other way around.
Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 7m
Tannehil's first throw of 11-on-11 is a misfire to Lamar Miller. A bullet Dannell Ellerbe was all over.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 7m
Tannehill pump fakes, scrambles and gets stopped at line of scrimmage on a scamble by Misi, who blitzed.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley 6m
Last two plays: Misi stunt blows up play, Wake sack of Tannehill. Yikes.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 6m
Third play of Tannehill's 11 on-11 was a handoff to Mike Gillislee.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley 6m
And now another sack. Trusnik this time.

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 6m
Jason Trusnik sacks Ryan Tannehill on his 4th play of 11 on 11. Matt Moore time.

Benny Hill. :bobdole: How in the hell does anyone believe we can win with this offense? Mind boggling. And Omar, its been Matt Moore time for almost a year now.

Great throw to Jarvis Landry from Matt Moore. Plenty of run after catch on it. I sense a Matt Moore favorite brewing.

Screen pass from Tannehill broken up by Cameron Wake. You'd think Tannehill was throwing it to Wake.

And you would think Philbin is trying to get fired.
Matt Moore with a crisp slant to Kevin Cone. Nice throw, bad off coverage.

Moore is crisp. As the old saying goes, Moore is better.
"It is time for us to take another step forward as a football team," Philbin said, talking about 1 win improvement each season.

Wow. That is a lofty goal there coach. Good luck in pursuit of that 9 win season.
Philbin said team has been emphasizing respecting one another. Joe Philbin said they have preached "respect" for one another, and told the players to keep the focus on football. Wouldn't say no hazing.

So our focus is on respecting each other and winning 9 games. Is this a football team or a pansy liberal seminar? Where are the grown ass men? I wonder what Belichick and Brady are preaching to their team?

We have no clue what most of these guys took anyway because the NFl doesn't release anything but PEds of course the player will claim to take something quite innocent
