7/27 Training Camp updates

I am the polar opposite of a troll son. LOL!

You will never see me saying "this guy sucks" or "cut that guy" I give players the benefit of the doubt as long as they wear a Dolphins jersey.

It's called maturity.

Google it.

Wow, can you not even see the hypocrisy in this very post?

Remember when this thread was about the training camp?

Thant was fun to read.

Also, Jarvis Landry is awesome. Potential for my next jersey purchase.

i havent heard a peep about the tempo since training camp started...wondering if they've gone away from it or if we are just hiding it...i think it's a mistake not to play with it but new offense may limit how much early i suppose...

I've thought the same thing. I'm wondering if there comes a point where the novelty of "up tempo" wears off and simply becomes "this is the way we play."

I saw one fan say he couldn't take notes between plays like usual because the pace was too fast. He also said motion probably isn't what most fans are envisioning with one guy running across the line, he says in some cases it seems like the entire offense shifts then they snap it from the new formation almost immediately.

Not really. I believe you are a young kid, and that you lack maturity.

It's my opinion.

That's fine, you're a delusional hypocrite, but at least you're not a troll. :rolleyes2:

And with that, Im sorry I derailed the thread a bit and this is my last post on the subject. I just found the hypocrisy amusing.

tackling is a critical part of the game...i don't know how anyone can say it doesnt cut the mustard when one guy avoided contact for the most part...revis would be a all timer in any decade

the guy had no weaknesses

There are a lot of all timers who aren't on Deion's level. Revis is one of them. I mean, at this point Revis is only a borderline all timer, anyway. This is a guy who is 29 and has 21 INTs for his career. Deion snagged 52 by the time it was over, with people avoiding him more than they've avoided Revis. I'm not sure Revis' career has really all that much better than Champ Bailey's, to use an example. When he's been on he's been better but Revis had two down years -- one where he played a bit hurt and also last year -- and missed 14 games the year he tore up his knee. He's gonna have to have two or three more "elite" years in a row if he even wants to be compared to Deion.

Deion wasn't a great tackler but it's not like he was a poor one. People have over exaggerated that weakness in his game the way everyone points to Jim Brown's pass blocking as a great weakness. Deion got people on the ground. That's what's important. He didn't have all that many chances though because usually balls weren't being completed in his area anyway.

Deion didnt have to tackle. His man never caught the ball.

It's so difficult to compare players from different era's and in watching film clips on Jim Brown, he was hurt after most tackles when he ran, and unable to block. LOL

Neon was the very best c0over DB I have ever seen but, have a question for you and Hoops. How much, if at all, did the eras matter in the comparison in that there were rule changes, big difference in run/pass ratio, and WR's being bigger, stronger and faster, etc.? I remember Marino saying how much better he would have done in today's NFL.

deion would have taken **** for not tackling in todays game...we had a non tackling cb in sean smith...how'd you enjoy that one??? i realize sean smith couldnt sniff deions jock and deion was a rediculous athlete etc but the guy found ways to look busy rather than stick his nose in there and tackle...and he will tell you that very thing himself...

revis was the prototype all around corner...every mark in the box he checked off

Didn't want to start a thread for this so I'll put it here:

Perkins Jul 25th interview on WQAM with Freeman & Fox articulates exactly how I feel about the team right now.

- defense is on the cusp of elite
- Tannehill needs to prove it (compared him to Dalton)
- o-line won't be good, even hoping for them to be decent is asking a lot
- the major issues with the team have been personnel related. Not coaching, not scheme, but personnel.
