You're both wrong. Vegas had the over/under at 7.5, thats what we are on paper and we're right on pace to hit that number. Living up to expectations is not good enough for Mr. Philbin though.
The never ending story....7 and 9 and drafting in the middle of the pack...waste our 2nd and 3rd round pickand yet anothr losing season. The the Ireland supporters will tell us that we need to give him another 7 years cause "we don't want to start over"

It seems that 8-8 is the more tragic number. If we'd lost to the Patriots, these guys would have been canned by now.

So we should have been hoping for losses? That's great...
If we're always rooting for the team to lose, whether to draft Andrew Luck, or to get coaches fired, how will we ever know when to root for a win? If we're always rooting for them to lose, why are we even fans of the team?

I wasn't rooting for losses at any point this year. However, now that we know the results, and we know that this team didn't go anywhere, and that Jeff Ireland might survive to **** this thing up again, you wouldn't trade one of those wins for the chance to get someone competent running the team?

If you're only gonna be happy if we win the superbowl, then brother, you're probably never gonna be happy. Enjoy the wins along the way, and if the Dolphins happen to catch lightning in a bottle sometime, that will be icing on the cake!

The win over the Patriots saved Philbin regardless of the final record imo. Think about what week 17 is like had we lost that game, instead of talking playoffs we'd all be lamenting over how horrible Philbin and/or Ireland is for the final two weeks of the season and the stadium is probably a ghost town for the Jets game.

Cool. I'd trade one win from an 8-8 season (which would move us up about SIX spots in the draft) for a new General Manager. Then again, I want to see this team win another championship in my lifetime.

I'm not saying thats what I wanted to happen. If we couldn't make the playoffs what I wanted was for Ross to be put in the most excruciating position possible and I think we might have achieved that. Its gonna be a fun offseason on here if Ireland comes back, I know that much.
