SD is not crappy they are exactly what we are a .500 to subpar .500 team that is good enough to win but not good enough to win constantly..

Yea, I know. And we beat them. I don't know if people who question the quality of wins and losses understand today's NFL. Just look at the standings. There's Denver, New Orleans, New England, Seattle, and Kansas City. And then there's a whole big cluster **** of teams that can beat each other any given week. You want to win consistently? So do I. Because this year that would pretty much mean Super Bowl contenders. So are you guys Super Bowl or Bust? AFC Conference Championship or Bust? I dunno. But what I see is people being impatient and unrealistic.

I am a win constantly or bust guy.
I had the luxury of knowing what winning football feels like and i want to feel that again..

Being inconsistent is a lot better than being whatever we've been the past 20 years..

Being inconsistent is EXACTLY what this franchise has been for the last two decades, that's the reason why some of us aren't dancing in the streets after beating a crappy San Diego team.

Believe me this.... If we ever get back to the point of being a true winning franchise i will be the biggest Homer you have ever seen.....till then reality keeps me grounded.

Yea, I give up. Go cry while the Dolphins are fighting for the playoffs.

No your a defeatist !!!!

You won't be happy ever I do not think we make it to the playoffs I expect us to fall short May be finish 7-9 ? But I will enjoy the wins regardless and on another day with a bit more luck this team could of been sitting on 7-3 right now. I'm not 100% happy far from it but I'm not going to let the overall state of this franchise hamper my enjoyment when we win.

Here is some reality for you guys.

2013 5-5
2012 7-9
2011 6-10
2010 7-9
2009 7-9
2008 11-5
2007 1-15
2006 6-10
2005 9-7
2004 4-12

No one here has a right to ever question me or anyone else for having issues with this team. Enough Said. I honestly pitty you guys for not knowing what it feels like to root for a real winning franchise.. I really want and hope you get a chance to soon.

If you think that for teh past two decades we've ONLY BEEN INCONSISTENT... then I can't help you. What we've been for the past two decades is a lot worse that inconsistent. For one, we were quarterback-less. Our 3 best quarterbacks of the era were Moore, Fiedler, and Pennington. Now we actually have a very relatively unexperienced QB that's showing some promise. We had no damn direction. Two seasons ago do you know what our record was after 10 games? 3-7... and that's after starting 0-7. You call that inconsistent? But for once we're on the up and up. And again, this "crappy San Diego win"... I just can't take y'all seriously. Any win is a good win this year. Let me point out some teams that we have an equal or better record than...

Dolphins 5-5

Dallas 5-5
Green Bay 5-5 *
Baltimore 4-6 *
NY Giants 4-6
Pittsburgh 4-6
Washington 3-7 *
Atlanta 2-8 *
Houston 2-8 *

The stars mark teams that made the playoffs last year. So keep on blindly crying over inconsistency. Look around the NFL, except for a handful of teams, NO ONE is winning consistently.

You know the real difference in all of that? We have a QB now. Now if you disagree on that, fine. I'm not going to argue because that's still up for debate. But in my opinion we do. And in today's league, it all starts with the QB and for the first time since Marino, I think we have one that'll stick.

(--Huge Tanny Fan but the problem is. He has a ****ty OC... Horrible Leader as a HC... and a horrible GM to put winners around him. They will hold him back and not let him develop properly. This season would have been a whole lot different with a run game, average OL protection,OC who could consitently put him in winning situations and with a HC who had the balls to stop up and be his leader..

My reality...those years are over. Ask a KC fan

Remember all the threads just like this one last year ...and the year before that ...and the year before that ...and ....well, you know. And that's why people are impatient. The show has gotten stale. Some of the actors change from year to year but the writers end every season the same way.

Nobody here wants it that way, despite what the OP and some others perceive as joy in reaction to failure. It's no vice to demonstrate frustration in reaction to the kind of ineptitude this fan base has been subject to for about two decades now. I've been rooting for this team for 45 years. During that time I watched this team experience a meteoric rise to greatness and a slow descent into mediocrity followed by far too many years of irrelevance and to be very frank and honest I don't see us rising up from that irrelevance any time soon. I don't begrudge anyone here their right to get excited by a win or even to lose themselves in fantasies about the playoffs. Go dance naked in the streets if you want. But enough with the "who's a real fan" nonsense. We all want the same end; it's just that some of us want to talk about how to get there rather than lipsticking the pig.

Haha! The past will always repeat itself unless you make changes..... As a KC Fan.

No it doesn't....that's just a saying. If it did the Pats of the late 80s or the 49rs of the 60s-mid 80s would have just quit. Our nfl today has parity which means every year 2 teams in each division are awesome, two are horrible, and the rest are supposed to be mediocre. Our team this year is working toward the upper end of mediocre. Ill take it for now.

Its not just a quote, its true in every aspect of life and sports. If you dont change something in life you are doomed to repeat history. Plain and simple.

So what do you actually accomplish by saying that we still suck after a win? I don't really see what your gameplan is, i mean what exactly are you here to do?

There are a lot of teams over 500 right now. The best teams, are. New England, for example, is 7-2. Remember all that talk about unseating them? And their team was decimated, and they're still 7-2.

As far as the names on that list, I don't want to be anywhere near it. The Giants are playing horribly, Atlanta is struggling and their fans are frustrated, Dallas sucks of course, and Baltimore's team was dismantled after they won the superbowl. (So they have an excuse). But that's the point - to go there, and hopefully to win it. It's not about just winning a few games each season and losing in the first round of the playoffs, or never getting to the playoffs to begin with.

There is simply no excuse for the bad drafts and player mismanagement of this team year after year. So yes, fans are frustrated. Personally, myself, I didn't anticipate us to struggle as much as we have this season. I expected a little more progress. And I'm not concerned about the w/l this year, I just wanted to see us play well. I think a lot of fans want to see that, it's not just about the record, per se.
