90% negativity from all the posters

Actually, right now would be the best time to replace our GM. There is very little our GM can do right now to affect the remainder of this season. The draft and free agency come relatively quickly after the end of the season. A new GM will need time to hire his staff and prepare for the draft and free agency. If you are going to bring in a new GM, now is exactly the time to do it.
Actually yes... exactly right.. WTF does your name mean?

This is a fan forum. In so far as having an influence on how the team plays, no one hear accomplishes anything. As far as the team goes, those who think we're playoff bound accomplish nothing by saying so; those who think we're stuck in the mud somewhere in the swamps of Florida accomplish nothing by saying so either. All any of us are doing is exchanging our thoughts. Did you join this board to actually accomplish some goal?

No i didn't but, I will not post mindless drivel in a thread defending someones right to say that it is ok to say we suck when are suppose to be fans of the same team.

I don't post very often but Jesus Christ we lose everyone moans we win everyone moans why can't people enjoy the wins??????? I know we are not a Super Bowl team but come on we are in the playoff mix that is a fact all you haters get over it we are at.500 and currently around the last wild card spot all the negativity won't change that ! I understand we have more holes to fill than a Callander but all this hating all time is un called for?

90% of all the threads and posts are people knocking this player or this coach or this play call people need to loosen up I'm not delireous I'm not expecting a deep playoff run I'm hoping for a playoff wildcard challenge I think if we had another perfect season people on here would still be negative I'm not wearing rose tinted glasses I'm just saying our win puts us in the hunt with everything that has happened to us this season this is a positive so let's enjoys the wins guys!!!

The season is officially over for us now so where do we go from here?

Qb ive been a big tannehill fan but i do have my doubts now so are we looking for a franchise qb still? [\QUOTE]

We have all had our doubts this year, including you. Truth is that it's been a tough season for all of us as fans. I am fine with anyone saying anything, but when you take a stance against your fellow fans it helps to not be hypocritical.

Well considering we weren't legit contenders since Marino's prime... so what? That'd be a good number of us that don't remember that time. But what are you guys complaining about? We're not contending? Ok. But how exactly do you build contenders? I mean we we've been rebuilding for 2 decades pretty much. And the one of the few years we're showing progress, you complain that we're not a legit contender? Am I understanding right. Does everything look great about our franchise? No. But you see the improvement... I don't get why people are so against building on what we have and not tearing everything down and starting from scratch... again.

Once again ..... Progress? Losing 5 of our last 7 is not what I call progress. Yes let's be happy we won and enjoy the feeling but don't be fooled to think we are good enough to do anything with it. Progress is going from 7-9 last year to at least 9-7 or better even 10-6 this year.

I'm not defending Ireland so much in these discussions. But I think Philbin deserves to ride this season out AND THEN JUDGE. I'm not totally against replacing Ireland now. But I do disagree that it'd do more good than damage what the team is trying to do this season.

Please don't take this the wrong way because my words are meant as a joke and not a criticism. But I think it's ironic you don't want people to feel our team sucks and you have a button on your profile that says "Suck for Luck". Simply ironic :lol2:

This is the same crap I'm talking about. How the **** do you know? you don't know squat and are just talking out your ass.

Is replacing our GM NOW going to help? Is replacing our head coach NOW going to help? Some people are calling Tannehill a bust for crying out loud... It's insane. Sure y'all are passionate fans, but that's just so damn insane.

If any change comes, it's going to come during the offseason. It's not the offseason yet. And hey, wouldn't you know? 11 weeks into the season we're tied for the head of the race for the Wild Card.

The anti-Ireland, anti-Philbin, and anti-Tannehill people aren't walking in lockstep, so I can't really speak about anyone's opinion but my own.

Tannehill - He's a huge question mark for me. I'm not sure if he ever develops the kind of football sense he's going to need to stop making the stupid mistakes. But maybe he will. I'm not in the dump Tannehill camp but I wouldn't be opposed to spending a 1st round pick on a quarterback in 2015 if a great one falls into our lap.

Philbin - The man is so flat we should be calling him Stanley. He surrounded himself with coaches of questionable skills and, in my opinion, put nepotism in front of need. I don't think he has a very good feel for the pulse of the locker room. He's uninspiring. I don't care if he finishes the season or not because I don't think there's anyone on the staff that really deserves an interim gig.

Ireland - Get him out and the sooner the better. The more time a new GM has to evaluate the team and its needs, the better. Ireland took over a 7-9 team and four years later we were still a 7-9 team. We'll see if we improve significantly over that by year's end, but color me doubtful.

Also, despite having the same record as the Jets, the Jets have the better division record at this point and have the tiebreaker over us. So we're not really tied, we're behind them.

I don't disagree with you about head coaching changes during the middle of a season. It usually turns out to be nothing more than a futile gesture. Head coach firings are most effective shortly after a season ends. But GM changes if driven by the optimal point in the NFL calendar should occur after the trading deadline and before the end of the season.

Its actually an anti- suck for luck button.

What are you even talking about? I remember the playoff game when Jacksonville beat us 62-7. I honestly think if we played Denver tomorrow it might be similar. We are not good enough to compete for anything but middle of the pack. If you can't admit that then you are deceiving yourself.

My bad I don't see any anti slogan on it. My eyesight isn't the greatest.

All I have been saying wait to see how the season plays out. Some of you people focus on this group of games, on that group of games... BIG PICTURE we control our own destiny for the playoffs and looking at the rest of the schedule, 9-7 and 10-6 is within reach. Hopefully we win the games we should and win some games we shouldn't. We'll see.

But we have a 2nd year, developing and inexperienced QB at the helm and we're in the playoff hunt. Tell me one time in the past decade that we had a better situation other than the year we won the Brady-less AFC East. Yes. Progress.

Hey no arguments about RT I hope and pray is our answer. If he is we have a shot to win in the long term. I feel we need to give him at least 2 more years to see what he has. My point is though in the current we are not good enough because we are too inconsistent. We can't win the games we are supposed to because we have already demonstrated that by losing to Buffalo and TB. Then we win games we are not supposed to in Indy and Cincy. We are too inconsistent to predict which means we are probably going to finish middle of the pack at 7-9 or 8-8. That's not progress. Not yet but hopefully soon.
