A 1st pick you didnt think could happen

MOVING UP? highly unlikely. we dont have many pics and if we went up 3-5 spots, our draft would essentially be over as it will take a few pics to do it.

now, if were talking a player now and a pic or two for next year, thats a different story.

there IS going to be a player or two who were considered by all to go top 10 that WILL be there when #19 comes around. db, wr, lb. someone out of those positions will slide. a tackle could fall but i am one of the few who do not think we are going OT IN THE FIRST ROUND., not since we gave the money to albert. to many great rt's available through the 3rd round.i DO NOT want us to trade DOWN if there is a true blue chip player still on the board such as one of the top 4 cb's or calvin pryor or one of the play making wr's. i would rather us walk out of the draft with 4 players who most think will start day one than keep trading down and collecting decent guys or bench warmers. we have to many of those and need more big time play makers. BOTH sides of the ball!!

so, i guess if i have a SURPRISE pic, if we stay at #19, taking sua-filo would be that. i love that guys game, his get off is pretty awsome and he will end up being one of the best pulling guards in the nfl, and maybe THE best as he gets a couple years in. a guard is hi, but, this IS a great player and having him at left guard with albert on one side and pouncy on the other, that could be 3 5ths a pro bowl line come opening day.

XAVIER SUA-FILO is my surprise at #19.

I agree and my money is on us staying put. Unless all the QBs fall and teams get in a bidding war to take our spot, but I don't think we're moving back for anything other than high value according to the trade chart. What I would love to see us do is trade one of our top 2015 picks for a pick this year.

Ireland's gone. We're not moving up with all the holes we have.

He's about to be indicted in Michigan on three charges. No thanks.

TAYLOR LEWAN - RITCHIE INCOGNITO.

he has had head case issues in school and on the field and it has cost michigan games. i swear, whenever i look at that guy i see ritchies twin.

and i just do not see us taking a LT since we just paid big for a pro bowl player at the position. lots of great natural rt tackles in this draft to draft in the 2-4th round.

i like to get guys [especially in the hi rounds] who have played a position for a long time and been productive and NOT forcing them into another position. a guy who has played left tackle his whole football life wants to play LEFT TACKLE in the nfl! thats where the money is and when his contract comes up, he doesnt want to be a rt tackle in the negotiations. CANT BLAME HIM!!

IF I AM an LT and i get picked by a team and they say, "well, we have this guy and we are going to make you a rt tackle" i would be very unhappy. and i am mostly talking about someone who is a high round choice. think of drafting jake mathews and then tell him he is going to be a RT!! he would be pissed!!

our LT position is set. i am ok taking a guy like billy turner later, a kid that may need some time at RT and groomed for alberts retirement, and he w himself would understand that. but drafting someone hi and throwing them into the RT spot is creating an unhappy player right off the bat.

AND..... not all players can switch and play the other side when they have been at a position all there life. thats a gamble. i dont want that to happen with our 1st round choice.

i want them to skip the OL in the first round thing and get a playmaker, db or wr or even one of the AWSOME rb's like hill or hyde that puts points on the board or stops points by the other team. i want PRODUCTION in our first round choice for a change, a blue chip guy [and there will be one who "drops"] who is going to come in and play his natural position.

Didn't something come out that said Miami wasn't interested in Lewan....calling him a "fake tough guy"....

My biggest worry is they do trade back and XSF and Bitonio get picked before them....just going by Miami's luck in the past.

There is no need for the Phins to trade up in this draft with as much talent as there is across the board. I would stay put at #19, or try to move down for extra picks. You don't trade up unless there is someone you absolutelty can't live without...and there just is no player like that outside of the top five players.

Welcome aboard the Su'a-Filo bandwagon, there's plenty of room for others to get on board too. He fits the ZBS scheme, he's got elite lateral movement agility, he's very high character (Mormon boys don't tend to get into trouble) and a very strong team leader. If we can't get Zack Martin, I'm convinced Xavier Su'a-Filo is the safe pick.
BTW - He's rated by many as the best Guard in the Draft.

Drafting a RT that high? When did RTs become that valuable. We can draft one in the 6th round.
The player at 19 should be a ILB or WR.
There will be a RT available at some point

We're not going to move up for Lewan. Especially with the bullygate thing still lingering over us a bit.

I think are thoughts are in the minority. I think the god awful play last year by the OL has convinced a lot of people we need to draft two OL with the first two picks. I don't this that has to be the case depending again on who is there at 19. For example.

In the Bill Belichick era the Patriots had two dominant interior offensive linemen who came from the NFL Draft. The first was 2003 Boston College center Dan Koppen who was a fifth round gem. With starter Damien Woody injured in game one, the rookie Koppen stepped in and never relinquished the starting job for a decade. The other top interior lineman selected was 2005 guard Logan Mankins the 2005 first round draft pick at number 32 overall.

The only reason a team should move up is if that team is one or two players away from the super bowl. Miami is not in that situation. SF is for example.

The only certain thing in this draft is that no one knows what's going to happen. It's going to be a free for all. I'm so excited.

My surprised pick would be Marqise Lee this kid is a very talented receiver that needs a home,
