There is always players of varying levels of success that become available. Grier is obviously not afraid to pull the trigger on a big move so it makes sense to clear some cap in case a situation like a stud player that interests them becomes available. He is doing his to due diligence. Would it surprise me that he makes a move on a receiver, edge, rusher, or safety, not one bit

Believe its up to 9mm with incentives. I can't seem to find the contract if its been released yet so dunno off hand.

I'd really rather not do another trade plus large contract. We can't afford it, it would mean losing someone else next year we would otherwise be keeping, plus losing out on a cheap rookie.

Pick #55 for a WR with 78 catches in 3 seasons seems like a pretty wild trade. Particularly when it’s a contract year for said player.

Giving up the pick would be part of signing him to a long-term deal. Unless you were referring to his lack of production even in a contract year.

The lack of production in pure numbers is understandable, given Samuel, Aiyuk, and Kittle are battling for targets. Jennings is a decent player. He is just not worth the 55th pick.
