He's done very well against the run and been pretty good in coverage...gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised...didn't expect much out of him this year. Currently 2nd best LB we have behind Jelani...anxious to see how Misi and Tripp mix in.

Given his salary I expect him to play well. He gets a half of a kudo for doing the job he was hired to do. Anything less is unacceptable.

With the snaps played, it would translate to about 110 tackles. For me, tackles are misleading but, I do like the stat of stops. It's when a solo tackle results in a failure by the O.

Southbeach, you have been Philip's sole fan on here, when many of us gave up on him due to some terrible missed tackles. The key appears to have been to move him to the strong side role (which was where he had previously succeeded).
Full marks to Southbeach for your decent assessment of the problem and comprehension of a better solution. Wheeler is still only as good as his last game. The first time he screws up badly, the Finheaven Gestapo will have their guns ready but for now the improvement is noted.
I still think that Ireland ridiculously overpaid for Ellerbe and Wheeler by guaranteeing the large 2 year amount.
