A Little Tannehill Perspective...

Nothing less than the playoffs is acceptable. I will die saying it. I have said all year.

I don't care about Tannehills personal numbers. get this team to the playoffs. make the plays and win the games yhou're supposed to win.

I don't care about his QBR. I don't care about his stats. Just win.

Grow a pair of balls and lead a group of men.

yes but how would he have done with this line, these running backs, and these receivers?
Or, conversely, how would this line, these running backs, and these receivers have done with Aaron Rodgers, and the kind of gameplanning his ability demands from defensive coordinators?

This is the first time i have ever seen shouright involved in a 5 star thread. Not one he personally started, mind you, but a thread rated higher than one or two stars nonetheless.

I think the problem with the Miami fanbase is that they have never witnessed a young QB develop, and it certainly shows in this thread. The lofty expectations some of you set for this 2nd year QB are unrealistic. I've seen drastic improvement from Ryan Tannehill from last year to this year, and that's what you ask for at this stage in his career. People calling Tannehill a bust aren't paying attention, are impatient, or are just trying to be right.

Aaron Rogers sat on the bench for 3 years before starting, and also started 25 games in college. Its unfair to hold 2nd year QB's to 9 year vet's standards anyways, but I know unfair/incomplete stats never stopped you before.

Another excuse. The ball was thrown way to far inside. but must have been the turfs fault there. The comebacks to Hartline he missed by 15 yards sailing OB those must have been the wind. The picks on high throws over the middle, must have been on the receivers!!
The two missed TD to Wallace must have been his fault, one he should have come back through the WR and got the ball, the other he must have slowed down!

Your sig should be Ryan Tannehill...Like a QB who would have been drafter in the 2nd round if we didn't have Sherman!

too far inside my ass...i don't know where you came from but i suggest you stick to fishing...

if wallace doesn't slip milliner has to go thru him to get to the ball cause wallace is suppose to come back to the ball a step out of his break...

No, you're wrong. It's only unfair to compare Ryan Tannehill in his 2nd year to a good quarterback who struggled in his second year, like Drew Brees. It's very fair to compare Ryan Tannehill in his 2nd year to a good quarterback who had a great second year.

You understand?

I'll keep this one simple. Tannehill has certain fundamental issues that an experienced quarterback coach will need to clean up; namely hip movement/stability (for deep throw accuracy) and pocket awareness. However, I can tell you from interacting with NFL scouts on a day-to-day basis that he is almost universally viewed as a future perennial Pro Bowler. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion; but any views suggesting he is a bust, or does not warrant further development, would be viewed as buffoonery among those that evaluate football talent for a living.

RT17 IMO is not meant to be a full time stand in the pocket gunslinger i.e. Marino & Brees.

Would it kill the OC (whoever that may be next season) to line Ryan up in the pistol and call some bootlegs & rollouts occasionally?

I can only remember this staff running one naked bootleg, ever -- that was last season. It resulted in a touchdown. We were terrible on 3rd or 4th and short this year. We did not call any bootlegs in those situations. That's one of my major gripes with the coaching staff.

HOF CB Deion Sanders, who I cant stand but, would obviously know a thing or two about playing CB just stated during the highlight of the Milliner INT......

"When somebody jumps a stop route against a deep WR they dont respect them".

Deion basically telling you that defenses had no fear of us completing a deep ball on them.

But, keep believing what you wish. League circles my ass. League circles know that Tannehill will not beat them.

Maybe he doesn't respect the refs "if I get beat I'll just mug him like last time"

A good reason for keeping Philbin another year is Tannehill will be more handcuffed to him and if they don't win 10 or 11 games next season they can both split a cab out of here together..

The point was only that quarterbacks affect the rest of the players on offense, and not just the other way around, regardless of anything regarding Ryan Tannehill, but I know that's never stopped you from paranoiacally over-interpreting anyone's posts, while being too insecure about your own position to be indifferent to what anyone else thinks. :)

Unreal, a guy with legit ties to the NFL, who goes out of his way to stop by and post, just weighs in and reports what the overall feel is within the league and every armchair GM we have who want Tannehill to suck blasts the post.

SMH.

I guess we should have drafted Matty Melted Ice, that way we could feel better about the reasons we are sitting home this off season.

Tannehill is a decent QB Guy's .He lost what ? The whole right side of his line? The thing that KILLS me is I am a jet fan and yesterday gave Geno Smith a second look from our GM.. I wanted to lose the game and knew that REX would pull that big 8-8 record we got. After the JILLS beat the jets , I knew we would all split the series . You Fin Fans should not feel all that bad it is not like the Fins were gonna beat the Broncos. Peyton is on par for the best single season ever for a QB! The worst part is the Pats can play out in the cold and IF they go to the super bowl? They will be using the Jets locker room to celebrate in if they go all the way?
