A Look At Day Two

If they don't pick up McPherson in the fourth round I am going to be pissed. We need to draft a quarterback to start grooming for the future. I am not sold on AJ leading us to the promise land. Every time we get a defensive coach it is the same sceniro - beef up on defense and who cares about the quarterback. I think Saban will be another Wanny if he ignores the quarterback postion in the future.
 
My projection at this time would be:

#104 - Fred Gibson, WR, 6'4", 196 lbs, Georgia
#162 - Derek Anderson, QB, 6'6", 242 lbs, Oregon State
#216 - Reynaldo Hill, CB, 5'11", 190 lbs, Florida

I don't think that's a fair thing to say. Yes, Nick Saban is all about a strong defense but the fact that we have a guy named Scott Linehan as OC should say something about how the team will be run.
What if we picked a different player? McPherson might not be the best choice.

KB. You think Hill will last till the 7th?
 
If you look at all the playoff teams last year they had one thing in common - they all had good quarterbacks! So I think it would be a steal if we got McPherson in the fourth round. ITs not like it will hurt us if he doesn't pan out. So why not go for it. He was listed as one of the top ten quarterbacks in the draft.

Why in the he!! does everyone want to trade down all the time. Lets just make the selection. I'm sure we will have a couple of steals that come via free agents.

Best Draft picks since marino was picked in 84
 
I hope we can trade for a pick and get a OL (Brown or Wilkerson), CB, WR, and QB.
 
I cant remember a draft where the second day picks are so interesting.
 
If he Saban wants a QB, then there is Orton and McPherson to choose from, but i really like Brown with the 4th pick.
