Miami traded a selfish, disgruntled Brandon Marshall for two third round picks when he will likely be suspended for being involved in an incident (again)

Miami re-signed Paul Soliai

Miami signed Richard Marshall, a versatile and talented defensive back that can play multiple positions

Miami refused to sign a 36-year old quarterback for just under 20 million dollars per year

Miami refused to sign a quarterback in Matt Flynn with two starts ever in the NFL

Not only has this team not drafted a single player this year, we have not played a single game. Chill. The. ****. Out.

If this organization is such a joke then let's hear of some personal instances of that case. Have you been involved in contract negotiations between the organization and potential free agents? Have you been in the room when the organization discusses the future of current players on the roster? Have you talked to the scouts and been involved with all of the events before the draft? Do you get paid to run an NFL franchise? Will you ever get paid to run an NFL franchise? Do you frequently come onto this forum after having more than a couple of drinks?

We get it. You want results right now. You want us to make that marquee signing and you want us to make that huge splash in free agency. You want and want and want everything right this instant, and you'll fuss and moan about it until you are blue in the cheeks.

If you are dealt a crappy hand in poker, would you rather go all-in with that crappy hand, or wait until the opportune moment to get a better hand and make a play at the jackpot. You can't just get pieces from 15 different puzzles and glue them together and expect it to look like anything presentable or have any kind of significance.

These things take time. Philbin hasn't been the head coach of this team for more than a couple of months. Do you really expect his blueprint to be fully intact before he has even drafted a single player or coached in a single game?

And let's be honest here. You threaten to cancel your season tickets and yada yada yada, but the second this team shows a hint of being relevant, you are back at the door asking to be welcomed back in. You know what you are?

A FAIR WEATHER FAN

So I repeat. Simmer down and relax. Don't get your panties in a bunch and don't raise your blood pressure over something that you can't control AND something that isn't going to happen any sooner than necessary.

This isn't just because of this offseason. It's a build up from the 3 losing seasons in a row, the decade of irrelevance, and the media perception that this team's management is a joke.

Sorry Jeff we'll settle down lol
Gtfo this team has sucked too bad for too long. F*** another season of anything less than 10 wins.

I think a big problem is that the team just isn't projecting an image of confidence. It looks like the team is swinging and missing.

And while I do think that Bill Parcells is aggressively trying to blackball Ireland and the Dolphins here (it's the only thing that explains this unbelievable media dogpiling), the fact is that until Miami does something right and starts winning some games, it's only going to get worse.

If you dont drink the kool-aid you are now labeled a fair weather fan?
There is no right or wrong, only opinions. And I, along with many here, view this FO and owner as inept and thus far incapable of building a winning team in the years they have been here. Joe Philbin may be a good coach, who knows, but Ireland and Ross have thus far proved nothing. Why do they deserve our congratulations for FAILING to get players and coaches they target. It is not as if they choose not to get involved, or stay away, they put out a comparable offer... and time and time again, they lose.

Forgive me for having realistic expectations and holding people accountable.

and yet NO is about to get a stiff penalty for bounty. Washington is 36 mil cap crapper. dallas 10 mil cap crapper. half the league doesnt even have money to spend.

where do you people get off with crap like this? ryan f'n clark!!!!! R U kidding me!!! a Fuggin Pitssburgh steeler who needs 3 refs from pittsburgh to help win a bullship game! no way. you people are ignorant!

Trading Brandon Marshall for peanuts after his acquisition blew up in the team's face is hardly a strong point in the front office's favor given that they were the ones who traded multiple draft picks for him and signed him to an insanely large contract to boot. But of course you knew that already.

Two third round picks is hardly peanuts.

Perception is sometimes reality. Not in this case I don't think. I've stated in another post some of the mistakes the team has made is saying things like, "being aggressive in free agency", and really not doing that. The front office needs a better pr person to guide them when talking to the media. Ireland is not a bad talent evaluator. He really isn't. Ross thought process was wrong from the beginning by bringing in the stars as owners. Win games they will come. I really think they will end over .500 this year. With Matt Moore. I said it first.

I agree with everything you said. Great post!!

Why does the front officenot get a thumbs up for refusing to throw a ton of cash at Kolb and Orton, not giving total control to Fisher, knowing that Harbaugh was a good coach to look into. The stink of Parcell's is still in the building. Let them air it out first and see what they can do.

Most of the negativity is from the media like PFT's Mike Florio's who is still sulking over his beloved Pat White not being a superstar in Miami. Too many people take his words and run with it as Gospel.

Building through the draft is the way to go.

Thanks Marshall for the two 3rd round picks and I for one will be happy to not see him drop the touchdowns when it counts.

Because over the past 4 years this regime has shown an innate ability to draft properly. one day everyone will look back at these four years in the same light as Cam Cameron, Nick Saban, and Dave Mustache

You want to talk about teams that are ****ing garbage right now?

Jason La Canfora ? @JasonLaCanfora
The Seahawks were so serious about landing Manning, team officials flew to Denver when he was there and hoped to get some time with him...

Jason La Canfora ? @JasonLaCanfora
They did not get a meeting, but it shows the extent teams were serious about trying to get No.18. Full story ahead on

The Seahawks were so desperate that they flew to Denver while Manning was there just to try to talk him into an interview, and Peyton wouldn't even talk to them.

You know why that's not news? Because nobody cares about the Seahawks. They're irrelevant. As bad as things are here in Miami right now, we're still relevant.

First draft since Parcells does not look all that bad so far. I want to see what they can do since Parcells.
