A message to all Dolphins Fans

why do you guys who always drink the koolaid and come out on the wrong stick on things always feel the damn need to tell us how to act as fans??? get lost...

Miami traded a selfish, disgruntled Brandon Marshall for two third round picks when he will likely be suspended for being involved in an incident (again)

Miami re-signed Paul Soliai

Miami signed Richard Marshall, a versatile and talented defensive back that can play multiple positions

Miami refused to sign a 36-year old quarterback for just under 20 million dollars per year

Miami refused to sign a quarterback in Matt Flynn with two starts ever in the NFL

Not only has this team not drafted a single player this year, we have not played a single game. Chill. The. ****. Out.

If this organization is such a joke then let's hear of some personal instances of that case. Have you been involved in contract negotiations between the organization and potential free agents? Have you been in the room when the organization discusses the future of current players on the roster? Have you talked to the scouts and been involved with all of the events before the draft? Do you get paid to run an NFL franchise? Will you ever get paid to run an NFL franchise? Do you frequently come onto this forum after having more than a couple of drinks?

We get it. You want results right now. You want us to make that marquee signing and you want us to make that huge splash in free agency. You want and want and want everything right this instant, and you'll fuss and moan about it until you are blue in the cheeks.

If you are dealt a crappy hand in poker, would you rather go all-in with that crappy hand, or wait until the opportune moment to get a better hand and make a play at the jackpot. You can't just get pieces from 15 different puzzles and glue them together and expect it to look like anything presentable or have any kind of significance.

These things take time. Philbin hasn't been the head coach of this team for more than a couple of months. Do you really expect his blueprint to be fully intact before he has even drafted a single player or coached in a single game?

And let's be honest here. You threaten to cancel your season tickets and yada yada yada, but the second this team shows a hint of being relevant, you are back at the door asking to be welcomed back in. You know what you are?

A FAIR WEATHER FAN

So I repeat. Simmer down and relax. Don't get your panties in a bunch and don't raise your blood pressure over something that you can't control AND something that isn't going to happen any sooner than necessary.

Right...and you are the voice of reason that everyone should listen to because why?
Our receiving core is abysmal, and we have done nothing to address it. We have not hosted a single wide receiver in free agency.
I think everyone has the right to panic right now and be upset because we have seen this happen over and over for over a decade now. We have continued to rebuild, recycle coaches and recycle quarterbacks. We have the right to be upset with mediocrity. As a season ticket holder, my money goes toward the product they put on the field. I disagree with the direction this team is heading in, and I have the right to complain that I think the front office is f*cked up. Especially when that is the sentiment all around the country, from experts and players who are publicly saying they would never want to play here.

I would love to know what our wins would be and Moore's stats look like if Marshall caught the ball when it counted. Some of thoses were right in the bread basket! Then he goes to the pro bowl, catches 4 touchdowns when it means nothing and then throws his quarterback under the bus. Don't le the door hit you on the way out!

Could be worse, you could be a Jet fan.

Enough already year 5 and we are exploring David ****ing Gerad as our QB! If we decide not to spend our hard earned money buying season tickets supporting this flea circus that is our god given right! So many people pull that you aren't a real fan crap yet I don't see them as a season ticket holder! I don't care if you live our of town the internet has made airfare cheaper then driving! Demanding excellence should not be frowned upon! Ownership and management have driven this team in the dirt over the last decade! Fans aren't the problem here!

I'm no fair weather fan .. it only rains for like ten minutes at a time in florida

This isn't just because of this offseason. It's a build up from the 3 losing seasons in a row, the decade of irrelevance, and the media perception that this team's management is a joke.

That's it isn't it? You guys actually care that ESPN talks good things about the Dolphins?

How sad.

It's never a good idea to tell fans how to be fans. I'll root for my team however I see fit. You can do the same.

It's also never good to assume one, as a fan, is satisfied with the team's subpar performance the last few years. I sure am not.

Lotta both of these seems to be going around these parts as of late and it's quite sad. But, oh well, I guess winning will cure all of this. We just need to find a damn way to get this done. It's tiresome having to root for a losing team year in and year out. Either way, I'm still going to be there no matter who we bring in or how we finish. I've seen a lot worse. Fortunes will rise again in Dolphins land and I want to be part of it. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.

I love you. You are right on the money with this. EVERYONE, including all the trash-talking media need to chill the **** out.

 Weren't you touting all the moves and non-moves we made last year? You were spot on. Bravo! I'm sure your evaluation of this years offseason "moves" will be just as accurate.

How about not worrying about how everybody else is a fan? You want to buy season tickets to this ****, by all means. Teams like the Miami Dolphins don't have "fair weather fans" because "fair weather fans" have already moved on to other teams. The only voice fans have in the development of the team is through ticket and merch. sales. This is common sense.

In other words, get over yourself.

Times like this that I miss that "thanks" button.
