And BTW, as you should have noticed if you were realistic, making a positive thread doesnt make it realistic. Crappy title IMO.
Joe Haden made a nice play on that ball to Marshall. That would have been a tough catch. Much tougher than the one against Houston which still would have been tough. Marshall has been disappointing at times, but that play was not one of them. Haden was all over him and made that a very hard pass to catch.
It is realistic. And how in the world is this a positive thread? Fail.
Ive only seen a couple people mention Sean Smiths name the rest blame it on Henne for some reason. If Sean had half a brain he could have atleast swatted that pass. Instead he watches his WR catch it for a TD. Smith is 6'4 or whatever and plays like hes 5'3.
You posted a huge thread about our problems and neglected to mention Henne or our HC. Thats positive to the 18th power.
Already have a few hundred posts on those guys. The rest of the team deserves some attention for their spectacular performances as well. You posted a huge thread about our problems and neglected to mention Henne or our HC. Thats positive to the 18th power.
I neglected Henne and the HC? Ive already stated Henne had a couple bad plays and decisions and also stated the playcalling was horrendous. I also stated the techniques are bad which goes back to coaching. I think I addressed that. But you can't sit here and tell me Henne lost the game. Sean Smith, Nolan Carroll our pass protection and Reggie Bush lost us this game. Its a team loss but before you blame Henne for it ALL like you are theres more glaring issues that him. How many times did he march us down just for a lineman to get called for a hold or for Bush to fumble or run into the back of our oline. Ive backed my opinion by facts in the game, you back your facts on the final drive. Last I recalled we play 4 quarters not one drive. Ive said this before, if Carpenter makes that FG, if Marshall catches that TD if Reggie doesnt fumble we win. If Henne got a first down on the last drive we stood a chance to win. You single Henne out even though he was doing work. You fail to ignore the big plays given up by the nuggets on our defense. If we had a D that was worth anything we'd be sitting here chatting about how good our O looked. I also addressed the bright spots too.
The thing I wonder is what happened to the 'disciplined' team that sparano had in his first year. First in the league in least amount of penalties. Now im sure were close to the top in most pentalities
Sigh, its no use to even post here anymore. Too many of you have tunnel vision. Everyone points the finger at a couple of people and I guess other players have a get out of jail free card or something. Comeon now... I give credit where its due but damn this gets old. Its Henne this, Henne that. But never do I hear the D being called out. Why is this? Oh I forgot, according to some of you we have a top 5 D. Man our D looks sharp out there. Im glad we have Carroll starting hes the best shutdown corner in the league </sarcasm>
He didnt lose the game, but we scored 16 ****ing points. He sure as **** isnt anything special. Our offense just doesnt score. Same **** as last year. We stall in the RZ. We can hire OCs from now till the cows come home and NONE of them will chance the fact that Henne is total garbage inside the 20. Look at the points. We have the receivers, we have a good RB, but we hit a wall in the RZ every ****ing time. At some point, after multiple OCs, you have to look and say that maybe Henne is the problem. The Henne thing is like the Sparano thing a few weeks ago...people just hanging on despite the obvious.
Thats what im trying to say. Henne is no Marino. Henne isnt GREAT but hes average. Yes he had opportunities to score, but the D also had opprotunities to stop the browns. Henne was efficient for the most part of the game up until the 4th. Its a bad comparison but you can compare him to Lebron. Disappears in the 4th. But when this said QB is driving us and a WR drops a pass in the endzone or your 'prized' free agent pick up coughs the ball up and hurts us more than anything in the run game how is that his fault. Or our cornfed inbred Olineman can't block its hard to do anything. Henne has room to improve yes, but he wasn't HORRIBLE. And like another poster pointed out on that last drive he got pressured on 3rd and 4th. Thats O-line breakdown. Its hard for ANY QB to throw when theres 2 people in your backfield on a 3 and 5 step drop. Not even Brady will do ****.
