A question for those who actually live in the Miami area.

The West Coast fan base is better than the local fan base. The Chargers game this year was packed with Dolphins fans. There were TONS of Dolphins fans at the 49er game last year. It's a real shame IMO
I'm from the Bay Area originally, and ya it seemed there were a LOT of Dolphins fans out there...many in my family are, just a few Raiders/Niners fans, most of us are Dolphin fans.

When I watch the games, I see a LOT of empty seats each week... but the games are listed as sold out. So... the tickets were sold, but so many seem to not actually be there.

Is this a case of they are out in the parking lot getting drunk... or are most of the no-shows caused by ticket agencies and poor resale numbers?

Anyone have a clue?
Also, a lot of the fans in club and swanky seats (home side 40-40 yd lines) are there but spend most of the time in the Club watching the game in the Air conditioning.

For I believe all of the newer NFL stadiums season tickets are purchased by PSL (personal seat license) holders. This means that essentially all games are sold out before the season even starts.
And each year the PSL owners are obligated to pay whatever are the new season ticket prices. So, whether the seats are occupied or not, the seats have been sold and the team owner received his money for them.

Well, except for the Raiders when they were in Oakland. You'd get assaulted with a deadly weapon for wearing a different jersey and cheering loudly
I never went to a Raiders game up in NoCal, but probably went to 25-30 games when they were in LA. Saw some crazy s**t go down at the LA Memorial Coliseum. And when the game was over, you didn't hang out tailgating. You got the hell out of there. Fortunately, Miami never played the Raiders in LA the years I lived down there. Saw us play in SD four or five times tho, never saw any issues at the 'Murph.

I avoid LA like the plague. As an adult, other than driving through to San Diego or NV, I've only been to LA to visit my sister or take my wife's German friends to Disneyland.

I drove down from SF last year to watch the Dolphins play the Chargers. SoFi is an incredible stadium. truly worth a visit.

Yep, went to lots of those games. Seahawk fans basically just got mugged in front of us. EMT, paramedic units, and USC Medical center were officially at the ready every game. Knew some of them. More on topic, though, tickets were not that expensive, nor beer or food. At least not compared to Vegas now.

I have no desire now to ever see the Raiders in Sin City. A boss I had back then had season tickets and a bunch of our friends were Raiders fans was why I went to so many games. I never really rooted for them. Living in LA in the 90s was fun, I was in my twenties. Glad those days are behind me. Too much party time and I have the two deviated septum surgeries to show for it.

Why not Detroit? My son and I went last year and it was a great experience
Has more to do with the drive from just north of the Twin Cities than anything. Green Bay is 4 hours. ChiTown is about 6 hours away. Detroit is another 5 hours past that.

I looked up the schedule making formula and it will be against the similar placed team in the NFCN. As of now that’s Detroit.

Anyone hear from their rep yet on price of playoff tickets? Can't recall it ever taking this long to get a price list.

Maybe it’ll be the Fins, not J-Ville that ends up playing at Wembley 8 times a year. Ross could make a killing moving the team, and selling it. Hardrock becomes the permanent home to St Thomas Aquinas, who draw better anyhow.

Don't even joke about that. Mr Potato Head already threatened to move the team to LA (reason I still hate him ... well one of) after the city declined to renovate his stadium for him. He has no loyalty and is getting old. He'd jump at that opportunity. Probably already lobbying for it tbh.

Took him some decades but he's made some good calls the last couple years. I hate him mildly less so this would be unfortunate.
