A question to feeley haters?

Yeah you shouldnt say anymore if that is the best you can come up with. I respect your opinion, disagree, but respect it, but please stop acting as if it is that cut and dry.
Its been gone over so many times that if you havent read 8/10ths of the boards opinion on him you havent been paying attention.

Let me break it down for the 35547347856 time: Hes a garbage @ss bum that cant read LB coverages, throws almost as many TDs for the other team as us, has zero pocket prescense.

I've never been a Feeley hater, or a Fiedler hater as a matter of fact. I just don't like to hear people saying "its feeleys job to lose". Imo its Gus Frerottes job to lose. AJ Feeley was the worst starting QB in the nfl last year. Gus Frerotte knows Linehans system, and he has more experience. Those are two critical advantages. I think if Feeley beats out Frerotte in training camp he deserves the job, but from what i've seen i just dont see it happening.

Look, we gotta find out if Feeley can play or not. Last year did not give him enough games, especially in an ugly situation linewise, and always with Fiedler looking over his shoulder. Are we gonna win the SB this year? Not likely, so let the guy have a fair shot, at least 8 or 10 games (unless he really does badly). Then at least Saban knows whether or not he should go for a QB or not for next year.

why do you guys hate him so much? i know he had a bad year last year and we gave up to much for him but he is a dolphin and he is our qb. the guy showed flashes last year maybe he will get better maybe he wont, but this i know if it was a rookie in there last year throwing all them int's you guys yould say ahh he is a rookie its just growing pains! feeley was pretty much a rookie last year new team new system and not to metion the worst o-line and rushing game in the nfl give the guy a chance this year and then if he stinks it up then start saying he sucks!

First off there is no such thing as "basically a rookie last season" It's very annoying to keep hearing that statement because #1 isn't doesn't make ANY sense, and #2 it's only an excuse.

Second, growing pains are for 21, 22 and 23 year old players who are INEXPERIENCED. Feeley has been in the league since 2001 and played in a few games in Philly. He started what almost 10 games last year and didn't even have 1 damn pass over 40 yards. He makes poor decisions, he has NO pocket awareness, and ALWAYS locks onto one receiver on each and every pass play. He's play action fakes are worse to watch than seeing one on TECMO BOWL for the original NINTENDO.

Third, Feeley didn't show flashes of anything, other than being able to complete a pass to someone other than the other team for a game or two.

Forth, our OLINE did suck, but it's just ANOTHER EXCUSE for Feeley's suckiness. He could at least THROW THE BALL AWAY instead of throwing it to the other team.....again this go back to is POOR decision making.

Fifth, the only upside for Feeley is that he gets to TAP that Heather Mitts A$$ every night!!!

Bottom line....Feeley sucks. There will never be a Dan Marino, but that doesn't mean we have to keep signing average or less than average QBs to our roster and blame EVERYONE else except themselves when they play like $HIT!!!

I just don't think we can judge him accurately based on last year.

Give him a REAL offensive system with a REAL offensive line and a REAL running back and see how he does.

Lets just get a REAL QB to play on our team!

lol you guys are funny by mid season you will be wearing you #7 jersey and saying i knew he was going to be good, man you guys are hard on players it isnt like anyone else on our team had a great season last year!

Because he had no choice. With no Hot Routes and no Audiables he has to throw into coverage to get yards. You can't throw 2 yard passes all day long.

The blitz came and with no hot routes, or audiables it was doomed. By the time any WR/TE/RB runs his route the QB is on the ground. He had to throw it just to try and make something happen.

I am not saying he is great, just going by last year isn't fair at all. It's more like you hope he fails then anything else.

.... :billsbite :jetssuck: :nesucks: Now wheres the sign that says AJ sucks? Not to beat a :deadhorse: but watching AJ attempt to play QB makes me want to :barf: or worse yet :shootself: No he does not deserve another chance, I saw all I needed to see last year.

^^ This is the definition of a Feeley hater. Someone who won't give a guy another chance. Last season was the worst thing you could ever do to a new QB coming into a team.

By your logic, we shouldn't have any of our players left on our team except for Welker. He was the only player who did anything. The rest sucked.

Feeley will be our starting quarterback for this season, get use to it.

i will say to all the feeley haters that he did at times SUCK BAD but most of our players sucked last year with the exeption of mcmike and welker. madison did not even get an int last year did he? so he sucks now? the fact is our TEAM sucked last year and feeley was its qb

Or did he simply not comprehend the offense well enough for there to be hot routes and audibles put in there for him. Its apparent that no one trusted him and yet we seemed to have had audible in the past with Fiedler at the helm and Jay was no great qb.

It is cut and dry.

No matter how much you try to defend him is the truth.Feeley sucked last year but does that mean he can't improve? Nope..

I personally think he doesn't have the brains to play the position but he can prove me wrong.

There can only be one starter. Doesn't mean he will last. We need both QB's health and ready. Learn the playbook and be ready that's all I ask from Feeley and Ferotte And Sage And Berlin. Get me what I want, a ring.
im with you on that! guys if we can protect feeley or fur rot, it really shouldnt matter! One name Trent Dilfer! We have a bad a$$ D and are offense is definitely lookin better. With a little bit of luck on Offense we should stun are opponents this year.

I am pretty sure Norm and Wanny did away with the Audibles. The last couple years the play stays the same from when it was called. No matter how the defense lines up. Even AJ said something about it last year. He made a comment during a practice about it.

Wanny never gave him the chance with the offense, since Fiedler was his boy. Wanny had no intentions of giving AJ a fair chance.

Now we will get to see if he has what it takes, if he doesn't then we can move on and not have another 3-5yr Fiedler episode. :)

I hope you don't base the fact you don't think he has the brains for it on a Wonderlic score. Since after all that test was not made to judge football smarts. The kid is smart, but the odds are against him. The chances to fail in the league are higher then the chances to succeed.

Well trust is a large part of giving a qb the option to audible. Given our options at qb last year i certainly would not have trusted the 2 idiots we had with that responsibility. Personally i hope gus beats him out in camp; which is imo highly likely since aj is a terrible practice player.
