A quick shout out to Wallace!

What else is there to go by when judging a wr? Did you see the all 22? Not possible. Were you at the game? Highly unlikely. Fact is he had 35 yards today. I want a lot more out of a receiver making 10 million a year. He's been average this year with numerous drops. He's is simply overpaid and now it seems fans are overrating him as well.

Yours was so much more enlightening. Thanks.

Lol...fairweather fans that just read the stat sheet. If u really watched the game you will see the difference... If there is to be any turnaround this season it's attitudes like Wallace that'll do it...frustrating, typical FH board, someone's gotta Bitch about something. ..but maybe ur signing his paycheck, so feel free to keep bitching if ur Steve Ross
....thinking before posting will really help u, give it a try

I like the aggression after the catch. I now want to see more catching with his hands on contested deep passes.

0:18 second mark says a lot about the effort in terms of aggressiveness that we got from Wallace last year. He ran through a poor arm tackle but at 1:11, but that was the closest thing to being hit. The rest are his touchdowns so obviously he didn't get tackled and sprinted through and around defenders.

Was he misused in Sherman's offense? Absolutely. No one will argue that point but that's also not what was being questioned about Wallace. What was in question was his aggressiveness. I also went through his highlights in Pitt and he never showed the knack for inviting contact. Made some really nice plays but he wasn't an aggressor. Since he seems to be your "boy" why don't you prove us why we're wrong. Find some game tape that he somehow displayed this attitude before this year. I couldn't find it.

Regardless, that's why he is getting his props for now. Wallace has a different attitude this year, he wants to punish his tacklers and it's great; it's exciting.

Owned... Great post

Here's Wallace's stats so far after one quarter of the season

Mike Wallace REC 20 YDS 246 3 TD's
Over 16 games that's 80 for a grand with 12 TD's
I'll take that production any day.

He's also playing tougher but no more fumbles please.

There you go with your assumptions.

Unlike you and the echo chamber, I just accept the player he has always been. It doesn't make him my 'boy', it just makes my POV based on reality and not fantasy.

And as you said about his highlight reels its a small sample of what he has done. You guys are making the accusations of his limited abilities. I in the other hand know what he was prior to coming here, and know what he us doing this year....is nothing new.

Oh and as you just said, Wallace does 'sprint through' players when needed.

Wallace took some beating last year in here, including from me. Tanne flat out missed him several times last year, no doubt....but Wallace also on several occasions did not fight for the ball and was not physical at all! This year is a COMPLETELY different story. He has been very physical, fighting for several balls including a couple of TDs. He is also looking for the extra yards after catch including plowing into the DBs for extra yards! It has been awesome to watch! Props to Wallace for the PHYSICAL play this year!

The play where he fought his way into the endzone was just something I never thought I'd ever see out of the guy. He wanted to truck anyone who dared get in his path.

The unrealistic goals of a fan wishing a former pro bowl player, will change his stripes.:idk:

LOL ..... the echo chamber moniker still cracks me up.

Despite what you think, it's not too much to ask. With the take no prisoners attitude he is displaying, I think he can actually do it. He would be even more dangerous.

Honestly, Wallace really never showed the ability to fight through contact in Pittsburgh that I ever saw. He didn't show it last year, either. I think what you're seeing is the fact that Mike Wallace claims to have added ten pounds of muscle this off-season and is playing a stronger, more physical game.

This is not something to knock the player for. This is something to praise the player for. He has added something to his game and we're fortunate for it. He got his contract and decided to go out and get better after a disappointing year.

This conversation is just weird to me.

I feel like Wallace got the bug to fight for every yard from Knowshon Moreno in game 1 and has been rolling with it ever since. I'm all for it as long as he secures the football!

Yep! The man has been awesome so far this season.

He caught a lucky TD against New England that deflected into his hands, a beautiful one-hander against buffalo and scored on a well blocked screen today. He's been solid, no doubt. But he is overpaid and beginning to be overrated.

I just watched a few other reels. And on his end around, he shows the fight and will he has shown this year. Never seeking the sideline.

You crack me up. Thanks for the laugh.

I think he did feed off that. But it being year 2, he was ready to be more assertive in all things football.

I don't know if he heard the critics or what, but Wallace seems to have come out with a fire lit under him this year. He seems very determined to prove he's more than a one-trick pony.
