A quick shout out to Wallace!

I think Mike has finally figured out that Tannehill ain't going to get him any easy long balls for TDs....might just have to run over people to get Into the end zone. Bet he thought Big Ben took better care of him in that regard. Still, I like the way he's playing so far. Showing some toughness I didn't think he had

There you go with your assumptions.

Unlike you and the echo chamber, I just accept the player he has always been. It doesn't make him my 'boy', it just makes my POV based on reality and not fantasy.

And as you said about his highlight reels its a small sample of what he has done. You guys are making the accusations of his limited abilities. I in the other hand know what he was prior to coming here, and know what he us doing this year....is nothing new.

Oh and as you just said, Wallace does 'sprint through' players when needed.

What was that response? Cut out the unnecessary arrogance. No one's trying to take you for a spin. I just honestly want to see what you have claimed to see in him being outwardly aggressive in his prior seasons.

I was simply responding to this post:

He has shown nothing new this year. Nothing.

I think it's been noted that he came into this year with a new attitude, new physique and has been inviting more contact for extra yards. I hadn't witnessed that before and I've watched plenty of Pittsburgh games in the past as my wife is a Steeler fan. (Hey, at least she loves football)

I just watched a few other reels. And on his end around, he shows the fight and will he has shown this year. Never seeking the sideline.

So post it. And no one's being unrealistic in asking him to "change his stripes". Guess what? Wallace went and did that himself by lifting weights in the offseason and spending extra time with the jugs machine after practices.

It's also just not a scattered opinion from this board

Following the game on Sunday, Miami Dolphins wide-receiver Mike Wallace was corralled by NFL.com’s Jeff Darlington. Darlington apparently was as surprised as the rest of the Miami Dolphins fans at the sudden change in Mike Wallace’s play. In the second half Wallace took a pass from Ryan Tannehill on the sideline and instead of going out of bounds lowered his shoulder and knocked a defender over instead of going out of bounds. Darlington asked him about that play.

“I’ve been lifting weights,” Wallace said. “I said it was going to make a difference and I have to prove it. We set the tone out there that is what we are about this year, what are going to do all season.”

Set the tone indeed. Wallace impressed more on opening day 2014 then his entire 2013 season. Wallace blocked downfield, he got aggressive in his routes, became far more physical, and even went up and out muscled a ball from the island himself, Darrelle Revis. For a touchdown no less.

So there you go. Now you can post some evidence that this is actually nothing new (like you claim) or take the fall for an ill-advised comment. Either way don't expect anyone to take you serious when you continue deflecting from the actual topic at hand.

Yet again owned... Great post. Cheers

You insist on taking those jabs, don't ya. The reels are on YouTube, laziness to go see yourself is not my responsibility to enlighten you. Just punch in Mike Wallace, scroll down, and have a gander. His first and second years work was good. One reel showed multiple end around, where he neither went for the sideline or shyed away from contact.

Also the video you posted, I had seen already. And over a 7 year career...you found one. One.

Actually he has come further to my side of the debate than I have his. Go read his postings prior to the season and read mine. I haven't changed my tune, but I guess we know who has.

But thanks, echo chamber.

Lol...fairweather fans that just read the stat sheet. If u really watched the game you will see the difference... If there is to be any turnaround this season it's attitudes like Wallace that'll do it...frustrating, typical FH board, someone's gotta Bitch about something. ..but maybe ur signing his paycheck, so feel free to keep bitching if ur Steve Ross
....thinking before posting will really help u, give it a try
If you believe he's worth the money he's being paid, that's ridiculous. Of course I'm not signing his paycheck, how foolish a statement. I'm a fan angry over the fact that we're overpaying him which hinders our ability to sign other talent.

Yes, because miami is hurting for cap space. Oh wait, no they aren't.

I will leave it there. I believe Wallace's recent play has been indicative of past successes over his career. Some here will claim its new and shiny, but the guy made the pro bowl, received the Pitt rookie of the year honors and other accolades. I understand this is a fundamental disagreement with some. But this debate on my end is done. This offense this year can do big things, but it begins and ends with the qb. Let's enjoy the bye, and look forward to coming weeks.

YouTube and Google are your friend.

What was his cap number last year? And what is it next year? Context please.

What else is there to go by when judging a wr? Did you see the all 22? Not possible. Were you at the game? Highly unlikely. Fact is he had 35 yards today. I want a lot more out of a receiver making 10 million a year. He's been average this year with numerous drops. He's is simply overpaid and now it seems fans are overrating him as well.

Yours was so much more enlightening. Thanks.

Do you need to be at the game or see the all 22 to see Wallace fight for yardage and fight for the TD? Nope. Let me also ask you, how many targets did he have? I'll wait for you to check the stat sheet. I suppose you want Wallace to throw the ball to himself.

... this debate on my end is done.

Typical response that points out you have no proof for your side to the argument that Wallace had displayed this type of physical play prior to this season.

YouTube and Google are your friend.

Or in this case, your enemy. You can't call anyone lazy considering everything can be posted by a few simple clicks & cut/paste methods to try and provide others with your point of view. A few end around runs in traffic are not the lower-your-shoulder and fight for extra yards we're taking about here. I spent plenty of time combing thru Wallace's highlights and game tapes yet found nothing to support your side.

What a cop-out.

Wallace's different attitude is being noted all over the place, including by him.

The offense could have a lot to do with it...

They are moving him around, getting him in favorable match-up and not having him run the same basic routes all game. Happy players perform...

Wallace is on pace for 80 catches, 1000 yards and 12 TD's through 1/4 of season.
Keep it up....

Wallace grew some balls, and started playing with his heart on his sleeve.
