1- J.P. Losman(Tulane)/ Phillip Rivers(N.C. State)/ Matt Schaub QB(Virginia)
2- Travelle Wharton T/G South Carolina
3- Will Allen S(Ohio St.)
3- Samie Parker WR(Oregon)
4- Isaac Sopogoa DT(Hawaii)
5- Shaun Phillips DE Perdue
5- Brandon Phillips T Arizona
6- Alex Lewis MLB Wisconsin
7- Brent Smith K Mississippi St.

This includes a trade down from pick 20 for a 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder, and 5th rounder. It also includes a first round compensation for O-Gun.

A QB to groom in round 1. Wharton is a major upside guy that is not a mauler. He is more of a finesse guy that should be put at LG, where his pass blocking skills can be used best. Will Allen is a solid, underrated safety. No he did not try to injure McGahee, McGahee landed awkwardly. Samie Parker is rising up the draft boards. Explosive, a bit undersize at 5-11 180 but that is actually not that bad. He is very good at catching the deep ball and is quite good as a returner. Sopogoa is a big DT at 330, that has the chance to be something. He is a bit of an unknown being at Hawaii. Would immediately help Bowens out. Shaun Phillips is a very good pass rusher and 3rd down specialist. Alex Lewis is a raw MLB that is fast and physical. Can help out Thomas and be groomed to replace him. Brent Smith does not have enough experience, but has a tremendous leg and can push Mare at the very least.

I know it’s early but this should give you guys an idea of what Miami could do in this draft. Comment on what else Miami could possibly go after. Please no bashing say that it's too early and these players will rise and fall. Yes I know they will. But it should give an idea.

I don't know some of the guys that are on the Eastern Seaboard that well. You guys know of any steals?

Samie Parker is a #3/#4 type WR. I don't see him ever becoming a real good starter in this league. We need to pick a WR in the 1st round, really. If not, we better take one with the first 3rd, and someone with more upside than Parker. Parker may not go day 1 either.

Ya but he can help alot in the slot.

Trading down from #20 to what pick 1st rd, #32??? That won't get you a #2, #3, and #5. Bills traded down in 2001 from #14 to #21 and got a #2 from TB. I can see the #2 OR the #3 and #5 but not all 3.

This would be a very nice draft that would fill a lot of holes we have on special teams Oline Dline WR QB. Projecting Ogun leaving to Cincinati for there 1 and 3 and a trade with Tennesse for there first and second our 20 pick. If we came out with these players would be a very good draft let me know what you think???

1 Philip Rivers QB NC State
1 Vernon Carey OT/OG Miami
2 Nathaniel Adibi DE Virgina Tech
3 Ernest Wilfod WR Virgina Tech
3 Jeb Terry OG North Carolina
4 Derrick Knight RB Boston College
5 Jordan Carstens DT Iowa State
7 Jason Geathers WR/RS Miami
7 Kyle larsons Punter Nebraska

i seriously doubt Ogun is going anywhere. don't count your chickens before they hatch.

who thinks miami should go punter 1st round?

(it was a joke... i know how serious some of you would have taken that).

I'll do one once I know the outcome of the various trades Miami has made. All I know is that ya don't have a #2

You know - I mentioned Matt Schaub to a guy I watch the games with at the sports bar. I saw him play a couple weeks ago. And I know he's a senior. I thought he looked good, but this guy I mentioned his name to said no. Anyone know more about him?

The drafts I've seen in this post would quite possibly rank as one of the worst in Miami Dolphin football history!

Sammy Parker in the 3rd?

Phillip Rivers or Matt Schaub with a number 1?

This draft is loaded at the safety position and so is the NFL. No way you give a third.

Give Phillips and Lewis a call when the draft is over.

The Kicker (Brent Smith) will not be there in the 7th.

Wharton is a third round or early 4th.

zod, are you kidding me about Rivers? he will be gone by round 2

Just to be fair....I'll hang my balls out here!

1st-Robert Gallery, Shaun Andrews or Ben Wilkerson
If they are not there.
1st-Chris Snee, David Baas, or Jonathan Clinkscale
Not available? Go back to Tackle
Michael Munoz, Nat Dorsey, Ray Willis, or Jacob Rogers

Most will not be there but we steal one of these guys in the third.

Roy Williams, Larry Fitzgerald, Reggie Williams, Michael Clayton, Rashaun Woods, Michael Jenkins, Lee Evans, Mark Clayton, Ernest Wilford, Braylon Edwards, Fred Gibson, Devard Darling, or James Newsome.

The offensvie line and wide receiver. Those were the needs last year. Those are the needs this year.

He will be gone to a sucka! :D

I've already stated why this guy has the stats that he does.

Check out his receivers. Probably one of the best receiving corps in College Football.

In the NFL he will live in interception city.
