Please don't insult BB by comparing him to Saban! He's a 3-time SB winner while Saban hasn't even won 1 game in the NFL. Saban isn't on Wanny level yet (though I fully expect and hope he will pass him quickly).

Saban may be a good coach but if anyone thinks that we have made upgrades with these moves (except for maybe Heller), you're kidding yourself. If these moves are a sign that we are completely in rebuilding mode, why start Frerotte over Sage?

These moves are on the backend of the roster and every team tinkers like this to some extent every year.
I don't watch film and grade players (neither do you), so who's to say these arent' upgrades.
Hardly a sign of rebuilding.

is it just me?...or do you guys feel that we took a step backwards today?...with the release of 4 guys on our team and the signings of 4 unknowns... I don't feel good about it at all....i was stoked with the original 53 man roster...and now with the release of two corners we lack depth at that position...can someone give me an idea of what Coach Saban is trying to do with this team?

We didn't let go anyone who was going to have an impact on the team, and we don't know about the guys we signed...why so glum...You're worried about CB...well, Edwards was, at best our 4th CB...probably wouldn't see much, if any action all season long....The guy was signed, Jackson is a STs maven and CB...he's a rook and will need time to develop, but he's not too bad...better than Edwards has shown us...Let's just see how things turn out...at the very least, our team is getting younger...

you know how everybody keeps saying we need to get rid of the people from the Wanny/Spielman era? Saban is slowly building the team in his image. Let's face it, most of the guys on our team will struggle in Saban's system. Saban is getting his type of players for a cheap price. We will take a step back, expect some more moves in the next couple of days. But as everybody said at the beginning of the year we needed to rebuild. Well guys, the purging has begun.

I agree....get em cheap, get em hungry....Saban knows what he is doing.
