A winning QB on the bench

I did see him at camp, and all the reports said he looked confused and unimpressive. You obviously don't know much about the situatuion.
What reports are you reffering to? The ones you wrote yourself. By the way its situation not situatuion.

No one is saying Jay is great. But I agree, he gives us the best chance to win. Regardless if AJ has a better arm of not, doesn't even matter. Jeff George had a great arm, and by many accounts he sucked pretty bad.

This season is a mess, let's put the best team we can possibly put out there and go with it. The players don't seem to respond to Feeley, so play Fiedler. He is more mobile and knows the offense better. I think you'll see a different intensity level from the entire team when Fiedler gets back in there.

That was 1 half, and the score was 7-0. What did AJ do when he got in
? Throw a pick for 6. What has he done since then? Squat. Jay has led this team to numerous comebacks, and 7-0 wasn't very much.

What did AJ do . Can you say touchdown. Obviously you didnt see the game.:shakeno:

Wow thanks for correcting my typo! Maybe you should now correct your lame argument. Watching him at camp it looked obvious he was lost, and not any betterthan Jay. At first he was given a pass because he was learning a new system. After a while, it became obvious that he was not better than Jay. That's why Jay was named the starter. In spite of making Spielman look bad, Wannstedt went with Jay, because Feeley is no good.

The touchdown didn't matter. So maybe you saw the game but misunderstood the situation.

Umm I was there buddy, and what I saw was a meaningless touchdown, against a soft prevent at the end, when AJ had already sealed it with his "pick for 6" special.

I don't think he understands much of anything football-related.

Jay has 4 years with this offense and still he is below average. That is sad. AJ is average and hes had what a few months. Im not worried about winning now. Im looking for the future. Next season. Give AJ a shot. Jay your buddy had his and he lost it. Maybe you should advice him to retire when you see him at that club Laundry or Twist tonight.

...with an all new line (now that Wade Smith is dropped)? Defenses know what to do to beat us with this line - bring the pressure and it opens a wide seem to the QB or RB. Who cares who the QB is until they start protecting the backs? Jay is not going to save this team.

I'd rather let AJ continue to learn to deal with it than bring back Jay. We've said anyone but Jay plenty. Do we need to already move on to anyone but AJ? I'm not ready for that.
Exactly, I agree! Defenses are now concentrating on defending the pass and whenever that happened to Feidler, he got crushed. Jay is most definitely NOT the answer people! Although, I would have played him last night only because I would've ran roll outs and bootlegs all night till the Pitt D stopped it. Feidler is WAY too inconsistent and is a mediocore QB. AJ has the talent, he just needs to get the experience. Being behind a *new* OL is NOT the way to develop a new QB as that only amplifies the mistakes he's going to make but we have no choice now. We're just going to have to deal with the growing pains. Our ONLY expectation should be that they get better at functioning as a unit. That seems to be progressing. We cannot just focus on what happened last night as it was a slopfest with all of the rain and wind and "any" offense in the league would've looked worse than they really are. Let's keep things in perspective.

No, I just dont understand anything that is Lawrence- related.:goof:

the season is a goner practically... the playoof are not going to happen. The only thing that upsets me is the draft pick we gave up. Let's be honest.. there have been many a QB that we're backups and became good starters. But let's be more honest... let's look at some GREat QB and in the end.. whgo has a SB.. Manning?.. McNabb? Culpepper? McNair?... Then you have Brady.. not massive numbers.. doesn't run for a 100yds...isnt huge.. and doesnt have a gunh... but he plays smart.. in the system.. and doesnt make mistakes... He Spielman took a chance.... like we all wanted him to... looking for that diamond in the ruff.... the crapshoot.. that finding a superstar is... good try.. but not good enough... Fiedler had his chance.. Feeley did too(who I was 100% behind)... but now its time for sage... for Stroener.... why... because we have nothing to loose

That's funny, but the more you resport to child like insults and name calling, only show that you are not only not mature enough to debate with, but too imature to deal with reality. Let me know when you actually have something remotely intelligent to say..
