What does he know about QB's.
current nfl qbs who are better than flynn NOT in a specific order without a doubt.
1. brady, 2. big ben, 3. flacco, 4. peyton, 5. rivers, 6. eli, 7. vick, 8. romo, 9. cutler, 10. brees. 11. rodgers, 12, schaub, 13. stafford, 14.newton, 15.ryan.
those are prob the top 15 in most peoples books, obviously not in that order. i dont see flynn being better than any of those guys, especially in the near future.
now here are qbs who are far from great, but have shown potential at times for a consistent period in their nfl career, as opposed to 1 game here and their. alex smith, sanchez, moore, fitzpatrick, dalton, cassell, campbell, etc.
obviosuly the 2nd list is far from great qbs, but no one here can say as of now that flynn is flat out better than any of those guys.
either way, hes not top 15, and he prob is more in line with the 2nd tier qbs like the ones listed above, and maybe even a bit worse, although a guy like dalton can potentially move into top 15 territory, and most people expect luck to move into that territory quickly, and eventually much higher.
aaron rodgers maybe a great qb, but thats not exactly a great endorsement for flynn, especially considering the fact that its coming from his great friend and that is the best hes got to say about him, top 15.
The media and fans are speculating too much on this whole Flynn-Phiblin connection. For all we know Philbin might not think he is any better than Moore. He just might be on board bringing in Manning or if they failed to stick with Moore/Draft Qb scenario. Moore to be 12th rated passer is pretty impressive considering how dismal team was prior him becoming starting QB.

The hopefully Flynn gives us the cold shoulder because he feels dissed.have to believe that if rodgers having seen flynn as much as he has endorses flynn as a top 15 nfl qb already that philbin is gonna have a similar thought process...
no doubt in my mind manning gives us the cold shoulder come opening hour of free agency matt flynns getting a call...
"Matt Flynn was set to become this offseason's free-agent quarterback du jour, that is, until Peyton Manning was flung into the waters.
The Packers backup naturally was linked to Joe Philbin -- his old coach -- and the Dolphins, but Miami owner Stephen Ross reportedly is breathing fire, calling for a "full-court press" on Manning. Flynn might be an afterthought in South Beach, but Packers star Aaron Rodgers believes his teammate is the real deal."
"The team that gets Matt is going to be very happy, I can promise you," Rodgers told SI's Peter King. "They'll be getting a top-15 quarterback."
Top 15? "
Not a massive ringing endorsement, but indication that Rodgers believes Flynn is ready to become an NFL starter."

Thoughts? I wonder if Philbin and Ireland feel the same way? Considering we had the 12th rated QB in the NFL last season by QB rating, which I know is not the end all stat, but.....just bringing to the table for discussion.
11. Philip Rivers (88.7 QB rating)
12. Matt Moore (87.1)
13. Jay Cutler (85.7)
14. Michael Vick (84.9)
15. Cam Newton (84.5)
Matt Moore is not starting another game for us barring injury. Ross will lose a ton of money if that happens.
