Aaron Rodgers - "Flynn is a top 15 QB"

current nfl qbs who are better than flynn NOT in a specific order without a doubt.

1. brady, 2. big ben, 3. flacco, 4. peyton, 5. rivers, 6. eli, 7. vick, 8. romo, 9. cutler, 10. brees. 11. rodgers, 12, schaub, 13. stafford, 14.newton, 15.ryan.

those are prob the top 15 in most peoples books, obviously not in that order. i dont see flynn being better than any of those guys, especially in the near future.

now here are qbs who are far from great, but have shown potential at times for a consistent period in their nfl career, as opposed to 1 game here and their. alex smith, sanchez, moore, fitzpatrick, dalton, cassell, campbell, etc.

obviosuly the 2nd list is far from great qbs, but no one here can say as of now that flynn is flat out better than any of those guys.

either way, hes not top 15, and he prob is more in line with the 2nd tier qbs like the ones listed above, and maybe even a bit worse, although a guy like dalton can potentially move into top 15 territory, and most people expect luck to move into that territory quickly, and eventually much higher.

aaron rodgers maybe a great qb, but thats not exactly a great endorsement for flynn, especially considering the fact that its coming from his great friend and that is the best hes got to say about him, top 15.

Agree with everyone but Vick. Not impressed. Never have been.

Look at those names on that list. Other than Moore, each one of those teams has "their guy". Six of them have Super Bowl rings. Most of them have taken their team to the playoffs. Half the people on Finheaven bitch about us not taking Matt Ryan and he is number #15. Top 15 in the NFL is a franchise QB. It is far from mediocre.

Now I don't think Schaub is that great. And Vick can't stay healthy. And I want to see Peyton throw before I put on the list. I think Aaron Rodgers knew exactly what he was saying and I think it was meant as a compliment. And if Philbin thinks he can be a top 15 QB, I say sign him.

The media and fans are speculating too much on this whole Flynn-Phiblin connection. For all we know Philbin might not think he is any better than Moore. He just might be on board bringing in Manning or if they failed to stick with Moore/Draft Qb scenario. Moore to be 12th rated passer is pretty impressive considering how dismal team was prior him becoming starting QB.

So not only do Green Bay fans not believe Flynn is a franchise QB, the guys who saw him play every day dont too!

I dont see how anyone could. Moore has had great games against stiffer competition..

Not to mention 11 of these 15 guys are 1st round picks.. what does that tell ya..

have to believe that if rodgers having seen flynn as much as he has endorses flynn as a top 15 nfl qb already that philbin is gonna have a similar thought process...

no doubt in my mind manning gives us the cold shoulder come opening hour of free agency matt flynns getting a call...

The hopefully Flynn gives us the cold shoulder because he feels dissed.

"Matt Flynn was set to become this offseason's free-agent quarterback du jour, that is, until Peyton Manning was flung into the waters.

The Packers backup naturally was linked to Joe Philbin -- his old coach -- and the Dolphins, but Miami owner Stephen Ross reportedly is breathing fire, calling for a "full-court press" on Manning. Flynn might be an afterthought in South Beach, but Packers star Aaron Rodgers believes his teammate is the real deal."

"The team that gets Matt is going to be very happy, I can promise you," Rodgers told SI's Peter King. "They'll be getting a top-15 quarterback."

Top 15? "

Not a massive ringing endorsement, but indication that Rodgers believes Flynn is ready to become an NFL starter."

Thoughts? I wonder if Philbin and Ireland feel the same way? Considering we had the 12th rated QB in the NFL last season by QB rating, which I know is not the end all stat, but.....just bringing to the table for discussion.

11. Philip Rivers (88.7 QB rating)
12. Matt Moore (87.1)
13. Jay Cutler (85.7)
14. Michael Vick (84.9)
15. Cam Newton (84.5
)

Excellent point! And MOORE earned his 12th best ranking w/the p/o/s COLUMBO playing RT and CAREY, a serviceable veteran RT, having to play RG to allow said p/o/s to play RT. All w/the approval of our late HC, the "OL GURU"? I wonder how FLYNN would've looked if he had to cope w/THAT...along w/the continuing, lingering STENCH of PARCELLSBALL?

Matt Moore is not starting another game for us barring injury. Ross will lose a ton of money if that happens.

Foolish thing to say, Casas. THINK for a minute. It's at least POSSIBLE that MIAMI won't get MANNING or MOORE, and The REDSKINS just traded up to the #2 pick. Guess who SNYDER'll take? Yeah! RGIII!!! That leaves TANNEHILL, who isn't CLOSE to being "NFL ready". Am I right? If so, THEN WHAT???

Moore and Henne could both be around 15th in the league too, 15th gets you 8-8 and stuck missing the playoffs and not able to land a Top qb in the draft. NO THANKS
