It is very important that everybody is important and nobody's important but the people who think they ARE important.
I wouldn't say we passed the ball any better, only more.We exchanged being good at defending the run, and running the ball (somewhat),...for being able to defend the pass and pass the ball. That's why there's no progress.
As a team, we have to be more physical this season.
- On defense, we got rid of Dansby, Burnett, and the hard-hitting Vonte Davis, and focused on defending the pass. The run defense suffered. Wait until free agency when other players good against the run may walk. We have to retain them.
- On offense, we gutted the running game by getting rid of Long, Bush, Fasano, and the fullbacks, and changing the scheme.
It is very important Joe Philbin returns as coach.
8 and 8 > 7 and 9 but not by much. Losing 4 of 6 division games was the killer.
Our receiver corp and secondary got better. Our OL and LB's got worse.

Agree. All I know is I felt like we could beat most of the teams in the playoffs with a good game from our QB, even without some of our biggest weapons, and I don't think I was alone. When was he last time we felt like that as fans?
Right, but I suspect those teams weren't as motivated as they would be to play a better team. Remember that the Dolphins were outscored in the second halves of games this year, which could be because opposing teams had "woken up" and become less complacent than they were to start the game. All I know is I felt like we could beat most of the teams in the playoffs with a good game from our QB, even without some of our biggest weapons, and I don't think I was alone.
