It is very important that everybody is important and nobody's important but the people who think they ARE important.

We exchanged being good at defending the run, and running the ball (somewhat),...for being able to defend the pass and pass the ball. That's why there's no progress.

  • On defense, we got rid of Dansby, Burnett, and the hard-hitting Vonte Davis, and focused on defending the pass. The run defense suffered. Wait until free agency when other players good against the run may walk. We have to retain them.
  • On offense, we gutted the running game by getting rid of Long, Bush, Fasano, and the fullbacks, and changing the scheme.
As a team, we have to be more physical this season.

Idk what crack I smoked this weekend, but at this point, if it's one or the other I'd rather fire Philbin and keep Ireland

*ducks for cover*

I wouldn't say we passed the ball any better, only more.

All I know is I felt like we could beat most of the teams in the playoffs with a good game from our QB, even without some of our biggest weapons, and I don't think I was alone. When was he last time we felt like that as fans?

8 and 8 > 7 and 9 but not by much. Losing 4 of 6 division games was the killer.

Our receiver corp and secondary got better. Our OL and LB's got worse.

Has anyone noticed that the statistical analysis on this forum far exceeds what others getting paid for it put up. I know I can rip that article to shreds without thinking, and know there are MANY others here who can easily do the same. Yet, this guy is getting paid to put this up. LOL

Yeah, and we need this "Rocket Surgeon" to explain that with some blind stats. :)

Sorry, I know he is trying to do his job but, piss poor is this attempt. JMO

Agree.

Right, but I suspect those teams weren't as motivated as they would be to play a better team. Remember that the Dolphins were outscored in the second halves of games this year, which could be because opposing teams had "woken up" and become less complacent than they were to start the game.

The better you get as a team, the more opposing teams will be motivated and emotionally prepared to beat you.
