Advertising deal with 790... Way Cool. Way out of Budget...

This probably won't bring in the $2,500 at a fast rate, but it would be an interesting idea that was brought up by Terror in the Suggestion forum

It would be like a way of donating, and the people get something out of it. I know you will say, by donating you get to keep the site running, but people might like this. I don't know what the manufacturing price of them would be, but you could charge double that, pay the manufacturer and keep the other half as the donation. Just a thought. This really wouldn't help towards this 790 The Ticket deal, but it is an interesting and fun way to earn more money.

If you get to where you need $100 more dollars to make the deal, consider it covered. :)
 
Just looked into the wristband thing a little. Most people seem to sell them by big amount. The least amount I found was 250 bands, but most people start at 1000. The more you order, the more the price per band decreases. Seems like the bands cost around $1, and can go down to around $0.70 depending on how many you want.
 
I don't think my arms are long enough to wear 2,500 at $2 a peice plus shipping and handling :-(

Off topic, but does anyone have the ability to get data off a dead HDD, I have a SCSI drive that crashed, it looks like the head can find a place to land so it starts the start unit but fails. I of course haven't backed up to mt DAT drive recently, don't ask, and it wasn't a mirrored set as I only put a single drive in. I know I know, I am an idiot but now I don't want to spend $3000 on recovering the data unless if I have to but it is all my data and accounting and I doubt the IRS will accept my excuse for not getting my taxes paid for this quarter :D

Thanks guys, it's good to know that we would basically get 800 bucks on the spot from you guys, and I didn't even include Awing in that figure, who would pledge a ton if he can.

I don't have an update as of yet on this however, AJ will provide you with one in the coming days I'm sure.
 
I have some HOF enshrinement tickets I will offer for fundraising. 4 of them.

Thanks for all your help on this matter. Things may or may not get done right now, I'm waiting to hear back from awing_pilot to see what we can do. We're still not sure if everything will pull through in time, but we'll see. Hopefully things work out.

Worst case scenario is that this doesn't go through right now, but we try and get the money now and advertise during the season. Each 60 second spot on the station is $100, so for $5k we can do 10 spots for five weeks. Not as lucrative as the training camp deal, but we'll see.

I'll keep you guys informed of what happens. If any of you guys want to discuss this matter over the phone (which is better now since I'm moving into my new apartment in Gainesville) please feel free to call me at 813-892-4797.

Did you get my PM? I can provide the float for the $2500 if you think we can raise that cash, I will need back the $2000 (2500-my 500)sometime :D
