we should be able to stop Denver from running on us, remember that our starters were not playing and we will also be using our D scheme
And if they go for the chop block on Traylor, he'll fall on 'em and crush 'em.

Like I've said all along. I guess what pisses me off about him other than he TOTAL lack of ability, is he's so ****y about everything. He thinks somebody owes him something. He's about to find out thats not the case. SO LONG AJ--

He doesn't act like that at all? what have you been smoking? If you watched the after game lockeroom talk he was extremely dissapointed with his play las night said he didnt do himself any favors, and said he would be up all night and first one in the complex in the morning to watch tape he wants to be good he is trying, he had one actual bad game in the preseason and he gets stoned to death come on gus had had 2 horrible games this preseason so what say you to that, everyone needs to get off sage's sack and rally behind Feeley the pick 6 is no different then a regular pick except for some bad luck in it getting run back, Feeley had a bad night and he admitted it without sounding like he was making excuses like you all like to make for gus and sage!

I think Gus will be OK. All this stuff is just preseason BS. Once gus gets a real game plan he will be more like the first drive against TB. But he does need to connect long. I think Sage is #2 and could be #1 soon if Gus is not connecting come bye week.

I am worried about our d-line for the denver game, we all know their reputation for illegal chop blocking, I hope the d-line and linebackers don't suffer any serious injuries

I dont know how you gauge a performance with 3 pass attempts. INTs for TDs have just got to be eliminated. The INT gus threw was downfield.. at least players could attemp to tackle the defender. But those out patterns are gifts for 6.

If gus gets intercepted on a 40 yard pass, its like a punt. You ussually do not return those for TD's unless its DEion back there.

Isnt it obvious? we dont give a dman about no preseason game before the real one starts. Our starters are made already and noone wants to get hurt.

One is bad luck. Multiple times over last season and this is a pattern that cannot be tolerated. If it's bad luck, then AJ is the unluckiest qb I have ever seen! Get the guy a rabbit's foot on his way out the door.

I'm sorry to say it, but it sounds like your trying to convince yourself more than you really think he did a good job. They were both horrible, and I don't think you can take any good QB play from that game, with the exception of sage, which doesn't really count IMO. I'm hoping that some invisible switch gets turned on with either of them, and we at least get to enjoy a good season. But honestly I think we have to be looking for help next year at the QB spot. It's down right embarrissing to have your first teamers get shut out game in and game out

If you're talking about Gus looking horrible, I just want to ask this: Short of throwing any INTs, how can someone look horrible after throwing only three passes?

Calm down....just expressing my concern, and wanting our players to be on guard about injury due to the nature/reputation of our upcoming opponent.

He threw the ball behind the receiver right into the falcons hands. He was pathetic. God i miss marino. ....

For all you know, the receiver could have ran the wrong route or didnt pick up on a read.

I will trust Saban's judgment over any member on here.

This was gus's best outing all preseason, why do you think he only threw 3 passes, because he is already the starter and saban couldn't have him looking horrible again, like all his other preseason starts, so as soon as his pass completion got over 50% he yanked him to so he won't have another 30-40% completion rating, and then saban would get burned for naming Gus the starter when he can't even complete half his passes, this whole competition thing was a farce from the beginning, there was no competition, Gus has been the starter since day one of trainning camp, no matter what happened, just like fiedler was last year no matter what happenned, Feeley will be playing by the time RW gets off his suspension.... Gus Sucks, Feeley Sucks, not really much difference between the two except feeley throws the ball where someone can catch, just happens to be the other team too often, and gus throws it where no one can catch it.

Bottom line is BOTH our QBs are not very good. Im hoping for 5-11 and some good draft picks to turn 2007 into a good year.

i was wondering since you watched the game. we are playing denver next week which use the same blocking schemes that atlanta does. Do you think we will be able to stop anderson and bell running up and down the field on us

yeah we will have zack back in there. crowder was playing good for a rookie but he was also taking the wrong angles on some of the plays and getting blocked out of the way. you will see an improvement next week. from watching these preseason game i can't believe how much of a beast traylor is. He is unbelievable for an old man. i am impressed with him more than anyone on the defensive front. he is continuely blowing his man back into the qb and blowing up run plays. what a beast. only problem is he's only good for so many plays..... :fatman:

gus wasnt that bad. we had some penaltys that killed us. we will be ok next week.

SCall, I stated right after that post that I wasn't using yestarday as an indication, just an observation of what he's been doing all preseason. I could be just getting frustrated, and all of this could be forgotten by midseason. PLease don't get me wrong. I'm not a pessimist at all, and I'm not saying that were going to lose 14 games or anything like that. I'm just stating that Gus might not cough it up, but he's not doing it for me. Neither is AJ, and neither is Sage. I really have nothing against gus, i really do hope he does the job, or for that matter, I hope anyone does the job. I was pulling for AJ at first, but he honestly doesn't look any more comfortable under center than the first time he took a snap. At this point I don't care whose tossing the rock for the season, but I do think that the team needs to find a permanent answer, and unfortunately it doesn't appear that the answer is on the phins' depth chart
