Not that my opinion means anything, but I had several observations from the last couple of weeks:
1)Fromm, if he comes out, is at best worth a 5th rounder. He should stay in school. He will go higher, but he is not even as good as Brian Griese.
2)Andrew Thomas, T Georgia, did not have his best game against LSU. Everyone has a bad game, but he had some low moments.
3)Jalen Hurts just wins. Not sure I'd draft him, but I like him.
4)CeeDee Lamb has moves like I've rarely seen. It would be impractical to draft him at 4, or even after a trade down from 4, but he has the potential to be a superstar.
5)I love Washington center Nick Harris. Biadasz and Humphrey get all the pub and are possible first rounders, but I would snag Harris in the 2nd. He is high on my wish list.
6)I like Georgia's 2 safeties, LaCount and Reid. They can be had mid-rounds and would be nice adds.
7)Murphy LB from Oklahoma is another guy that just pops. Don't know if he fits what we do, but he was everywhere vs Baylor.

Hey at last we agree on something.....lol

lol, I’m becoming less impressed with the QBs coming out this year. But, I think that our organization did great by hiring Flo. I wasn’t on board with him at first because of him coming from the Patriots but I really like him now. He’s taking guys off the street and competing.

I give him credit for having the team playing hard every week regardless of who's hurt and who's not. Can't wait to see what he can do with some talent.

The schemes on both sides of the ball looked superior to the Jets, despite the outcome.

Even though the defense gave up the winning drive it looked like mostly a fluke, as opposed to every recent season when it seemed inevitable.

But all the clever chess pieces like Laird don't mean much of anything without the quarterback. Fitzpatrick had openings more than once but winged it to nowhere when Gesicki was open for a touchdown. Gesicki has really improved his body, BTW. Still not a traditional tight end but not close to the joke Gumby of last season.

Darnold had openings also. Dating to USC I have no idea why he is so fascinated by throwing it out of bounds on those scramble plays with a streaking receiver down the sideline. On USC boards there were jokes about how frequently Darnold would land those throws in the hands of a graduate assistant. Nothing has changed.

Lamb is a baller. I want him on this team and when I thought the Steelers pick was going to be top 10 I thought it could happen but that ship has sailed.

It won’t happen but I’d actually be ok with drafting him at 4 because you know you are getting a future pro bowl wr barring injury if you get him.

I think we should take a shot at Jalen Hurts. Outside of Burrows & Tua he is the only other QB that I find exciting. Burrow is gone with the #1, Tua is hurt, so take a shot at Hurts.

With Hurts it depends, in my humble opinion, on a couple of things:
1)If we are going to do what Baltimore did and totally re-design our offense to suit him, then that's something to consider. But would we do that?
2)And it depends on the round. Round 1, no. Maybe round 2 if we've traded down prior and added picks.
He is a playmaker and a winner, but lots of playmaker/winner college QB's just don't translate. Innovation would be key with picking him.

I was thinking Fromm in the 3rd round now. His receivers aren't helping, but he's had a lot of games completing below 50 percent.

That quarterback position will be interesting for Miami. If Tua is healthy, he's probably the guy. Next up, does the team take Herbert high or look at Love, Hurts or Eason a little later? I like Hurts as well. I think he's someone the staff would have to change the offense for. But, isn't that what good coaches do?

I think if you see Hurts as a guy who can lead you, you take him with the idea in mind, or a plan roughly in place, as to what the totally new offense will be.
But if they are married to their current system, taking Hurts probably makes no sense. Although Hurts did do well at Alabama with a pro style offense- at least he won a lot there. So maybe...

First 2 passes Fromm threw against LSU were right on the money and right through the receivers hands. It's hard to really get a gauge on where Fromm is because he has been playing with a lack of talent in skill positions. You can't just look at his stats and determine he's bad because he's not. He possesses a lot of qualities needed at the next level. Very smart pre-snap, good leadership abilities, accurate.

I hear the talk of him needing to return to school but I'm not sure that helps him in that offense. Though I wouldn't use a 1st on him if he is there at the top of the 2nd it would be a consideration for me.

His first pass was on the money and it was dropped. I believe the 2nd pass was not dropped but it was out of bounds which means his throw was not on the money. Of course to be fair maybe the receiver didn't give himself enough room for Fromm to get the ball in there. At the end of the day tho he's been under 50% several times and when you don't have a strong arm then you better complete way higher than 50%
