Agents Banned

Why?

I can't help but think he is going a little overboard with all this stuff.

Why not? What business does the agent have being near the player during practice or on game day?
Once the contract is signed, they should just disappear until it is time to negotiate a new one.

Saban keeps impressing me. I love the old school stuff man.

SkapePhin - so funny

The agents should get back in their offices, where they belong.

Sorry but despite what some of you might think, agents are not family. They are hardly "friends" in the true sense of the word. Example, see how well an affluent agent takes care of his middle-of-the-road athlete when he has a career ending injury. But...but...we are FRIENDS! almost FAMILY.

Yeah, my CPA and ATTORNEYs all love me like a brother when I'm paying their fees
Too many people watched "Jerry McGuire".

Players could also be thinking, hell what is next? I can't have my family or friends here. If they start feeling like they are in a dictatorship they will be out the door first chance they get, just look at the Jags with Coughlin.
Maybe it's just me, but I surely would not want my family or friends at practice. Sweating my a$$ off and getting dressed down by coaches...No Thanks! Good move Nick!

Then find another team to pull for.
your an idiot:rolleyes: and i'll let Phinfreak say what i would have said anways..

EDIT: You can't call him or anyone else an idiot. First warning. Muck

I think the mentality behind this is that Nick Saban wants a team atmosphere on gamedays and practices, as opposed to a more me-first mentality that an agent might instill.

screw all agents *******s!!!!!!!!! the nicktator has total control of miami dolphins football baby!!!!!!!!!!!

I kind of look at it like this with what coach has done.

First, agents are NOT family.
Second, even though they might be friends they can also do business while there even if they don't mean to. Advice, etc. is business.
Third, there's no point in them being there.

Saban basically said this: You can do your business, I have no problem with that. But don't you dare think you're going to do your business on MY TIME and then think you're going to do it in MY HOUSE. If you want to do business, fine, go do it. Just not here.

I agree with this. Saban is requiring football players to be just that, and when they're supposed to.

The way I see it, Todd France won't be here anyway. He's be in a shanty mining town like Denver where he can do some gold digging!

I like this move. Saban has something Wanny never had, and therefore our team never had under Wanny... balls!!!

And to be honest with you, although it was sh*tty how he was pushed out the door, Shula in his last few years had nowhere near the balls he had earlier in his career.

This is a much needed kick in the azz for the organization.

This is the first time in over 10 years I feel like someone is in charge, the players are accountable, and we actuall have a coach who is coaching.

Keep it up Nick... oh yeah, and Drew can STFU.

And he's absolutely right, too.
