Agree with SI?

I see them beating Detroit, I do not see them sweeping the Jets. The biggest problem is the Pats in week one. If they lose thisa game, they are not winning in Foxboro.

Could be a lot of turmoil for the Jets in December. Rex is getting canned at some point between now and the new year, that is a guarantee.

This is a tough schedule...I see 8-8.

Meh, strength of schedule almost always turns out to be a crap shoot every year. You've got teams that you think were supposed to be good but end up underachieving, and vice versa.

Guys this team is going to have hiccups at first so please don't call for the firing of the coaches, they will get better as the season progress.

I still say 10-6

New England LOSS... It'll be a tight game, but I think Brady/Gonk is too much for our LB crew

@ Buffalo WIN... They'll play us tough, or we'll play down, but we'll squeak this one out..

Kansas City WIN... I dont think KC will be as tough as they were last year... Home field advantage here

@Oakland WIN.... Pip Pip Cheero Mate

BYE WEEK

Green Bay Loss.... The guys are still on vacation and not quite back yet..

@ Chicago Win... Chicago aint got nothing for us...

@ Jacksonville Win... They're an improved team this year, but not that much improved

San Diego Loss... I see this as a high scoring offensive game and Tanny cant keep up with Rivers

@ Detroit Loss... This should be a good game we lose on the last play

Buffalo Win... We'll own them this year

@ Denver LOSSSSSS Manning exposes our soft zone coverage and just destroys us at will..

@ New York Win... The boys bounce back

Baltimore Win... I think Lazors offense will win this game for us (about time we have a decent off coord)

@ New England Loss... Oh crap... Brady again..

vs Minnesota Win... Easy Peasy

New York... Win... This will be a question mark game.. we'll lose if we're in the playoffs.. we'll win if we need it..

Last year at this time I was a bit more hopeful with new youthful linebackers to replace the aging Dansby and Burnette, A stout run defense led by big Paul Staoli basically the entire returning backfield that played farily well the year before plus Grimes. On offense we had Wallace as a big play threat along with reliable Hartline, a offensive line that returned Incognito a pro bowler the year before believe it or not, highly rate Pouncy, John Jerry who appeared to be improving a bit, Tyson Clabo a x Probowler at right tackle and Jon Martin the top 2nd round pick from the year returning, and Ryan T. returning after a decent rookie year. The biggest questions were loosing Reggie Bush, Jake Long and possible Anthony Fasano from the year prior.
This year fairly big questions loom starting with the lines and dealing with the run. Can we run the ball on offense and can we stop the run on defense. Big Paul is gone and we know our linebackers are questionable on defense and on offense currently we are soft in the middle of the line and our rookie right tackle run blocking is still questionable. The 2nd concern is can we stay healthy Albert has only made it through only one entire season in his career, Msi our inside linebacker gets nicked up and misses at least a couple of games a season every year and Grimes, Delmas and the new old safty all come with injury question marks the past few years of their careers. You have to into account Pouncy current knee injury and last year was the running back back Morenos first year to stay healthy also. Getting players from last years draft on the field like Taylor, Will Smith, Sims and hopefully a improving Miller bring some hope along with Clay, some hopeful picks from this years draft in Tripp, Laundry, Fede and hopefully Turner brings some hope to the table so we shall see. Gotta see the first couple of games to determine if Lazor is for real before I start forecasting much. I believe the coaches stir the drink and Coyle has proven as a coach he has a defense that is probably playoff caliber, now we need a offensive head coach equal to the task and the head coach to follow suit also. Philbin also has to prove he is worthy and has not convinced to date yet.

We can talk about all the strengths (WR's, upgraded OC, starting CBs and fingers crossed.....improved OL) or some of our weaknesses (LB, depth in secondary, RB, kicker?) none of these are nearly the strongest indicators of what our record will be. Our seasons strongest indicator is what kind of player Tannehill becomes.

Is he going into the top 10 QB's? If so, I think 10 or even 11 wins is a possibility. If he stands pat, then we will have one of our patented 8 win seasons give or take a win. If he regresses then we'll win 6 games or less and be drafting his replacement in the 1st round under a new HC next year. It's the QB folks...based on what we know from last year, then 7 to 9 wins is likely (which to me is the worst case scenario) as we may stick with Tannehill whom would have proven he's effectively middle of the pack. Then we'll spend all off season arguing on whether we move on, or stick with yet another year.

I'm hoping more than anything he shows himself to be a top tier QB. He won't have excuses at WR and it's likely we will have a much better playcalling this year. Moreno should offer some more help in the passing game and maybe more importantly in pass blocking.

So RT, here's hoping you end the horror that's been the life of a Phin fan for the last 15 years. Prove the naysayers wrong and get us to the playoffs as SI predicts. We've suffered enough.

This game is going to be lie that Wildcat unveiling game, Mew England won't know what hit them until it's too late, the fins has had success against them.

Have you seen what became of KC's offensive line since last season? If you think we have OL problems.....

We win that game.

You are crazy to think that. We might have a chance. Jamal Charles can beat us by himself, running or catching the ball

As fans of the dolphins and really tired of losing. We need to be optimistic and hopeful; at least before the season starts. 10-6 is highly achievable. RT will move into the higher echelons of QB ranking in the NFL and we will win one playoff game this year.

I don't need to be optimistic or hopeful. I used to be those things every year. I'm a different fan this year. Blame my Spurs for winning a 5th ring. I'm used to them winning and the Dolphins don't do that for me so I don't expect them to do anything ever again.
